This week, the skies will shine with the beauty of a full moon. The exact time of peak illumination will depend on your location.

November’s moon is the Full Beaver Moon :beaver: in the Northern Hemisphere. It is named after a time of hard work and preparation, as the cold, darker months settle in.

In the Southern Hemisphere, this month’s moon is the Full Flower Moon :hibiscus: , representing the thriving spring and the blooming flowers.

While each moon has its own unique qualities, every full moon is a celebrated time when the energy of the moon is at its most powerful. Now is a wonderful time to charge, cleanse, and absorb the potent energies of the moon.

Congratulations, dears!

Cleaning lists are down to weekly chores at last. I cleansed my threshold, yesterday using wet wipes and a chant:
“Cleanse my threshold and my door.
Repel negativity forever more!”
Quick and easy chanted spell, though the metal under the door was caked with stuck on, dried on I have no idea what… and strips of paint. I simply kept chanting while I scrubbed- until the phone rang.

@BryWisteria I hope you have safe travels this week!

And I don’t have anything going on this week! No doctor visits, no appointments! I’m gonna go nap I think. LOL!

Have a good week, folks!

Happy Monday, friends!

I’ve got a busy week ahead of me but I’m hoping to find some time for calm here later today – and do my entry for the Weekly Witchy Challenge! We’ll see, though. It may just be time for some meditation  I did get a light therapy lamp today bought with some birthday money I got. Now I just have to stick to a consistent use of it both morning and evening.

Congratulations, you two!

Congratulations on the shouts out and thank you for sharing so much of your knowledge and love with us!

Not much particularly planned other than trying to continue looking for the sun behind the clouds. :pray:t3:

I need to do a test run of some sourdough pumpkin-shaped dinner rolls that I might bring to Thanksgiving so I might try that this week!

Hoping everyone’s week goes smoothly!

Oh nooooo! I’m so sorry, that’s awful!! Get lots of rest, take care of yourself and feel better soon!

I’ve had that quite often. When I feel like I’m drowning, I lay down on my stomach. It seems counter intuitive, but it always helped me.

Avoid bathing because the humidity clogs the lungs even more.

There used to be a pill made from creosote bush, available as an energy booster at gas stations. It made me smell like tar, but knocked the goop out of me. The side effects were heightened sensitivity and sensuality. Sadly, people overused it as a drug, and some states banned it.

Take things very slow and easy for the next 6 weeks. Wear pads so coughing doesn’t make a mess. Avoid incense, oils, room sprays, and perfumes, though unscented candles ought to be OK. Fire is drying.

Just out of curiosity, did you have hallucinations with your fever? I used to be able to tell the difference between pneumonia and bronchitis at a very early stage just by the hallucinations during the fever, but that might have been me.

Thank you all  I appreciate the well wishes! I’ve never had pneumonia before lol

Honestly, I haven’t gotten a formal diagnosis of pneumonia but it feels different than the bronchitis I usually get. The only reason I’m saying it’s pneumonia right now is because my daughter was diagnosed with it yesterday and we have the exact same symptoms, and it hit us both like a brick out of nowhere. She was fine and then a few hours later she had a raging fever and horrible cough. I’ve got some tricks up my sleeve, and a nebulizer with albuterol if it gets to that point, but I haven’t been to the doctor yet. My insurance isn’t that great and it would cost a pretty penny

I know medicine costs in America but please stay safe. They have a vaccine here to protect from pneumonia, I’m not sure of your options. It’s a nasty sickness. Praying for you.

I had pneumonia or bronchitis almost every year since 1987. In my humble opinion, when doctors are too expensive, once the fever breaks, the worst is over. It doesn’t seem like it because the cough takes all your energy for a very long time.

If you feel you must use a simmer pot, add willow leaves and pine needles.

Eat bland foods with no smell or flavor so you don’t choke. Swallowing mucus will give you an upset stomach- don’t fear it because the fear will take it from queesy to nausea really quickly. If you must do something about it, mint or aloe are good, but try to let the body take care of the mess on its own as much as possible. Spit out whatever you can. Save the tissues for the nose, though.

Use ginger if you need energy to get through something, but wait to use it until the last possible moment so your body doesn’t get acclimated and desensitized. Caffeine will make coughing worse. When you finally get to the point of needing to clean, every effort will cause more coughing, so go slow enough to get only one thing done per day.

For the psychological side, I found that keeping a “done list” is much better than a to do list. This should include things like being strong enough to open the curtains. Celebrate the little stuff!

If you watch movies, the short ones may soon be all you can focus on, unless you’re in the mood for a long, winding mini series which has lots of nature shots but no action. Not being able to breathe makes it very difficult to think straight or follow a plot line. If you have to study, be aware that anything you take in will be forgotten and will need to be relearned after the illness is over.

I read a book about dragons once during pneumonia. The book kept my mind off my body, helping to ease time spent. The more you can get yourself to see beyond your nose, the better you will feel. However I don’t remember anything I read!

Ummm let’s see. Mucinex is good. Get the extended release for bedtime. The shorter duration variety is better for daytime because your symptoms come back before the recommended dosage. You will need to ween yourself off of it before the end of the illness because the body will get addicted and start causing more symptoms just to keep the medicine in the system. However, it does help early on.

That’s all I can think of for now. Hope some of this helps. :purple_heart::purple_heart:

PS.

Yes. Pneumonia is lower. Try not to brace yourself when you cough. People have ben known to hold back a cough and break a rib in the process. Release and let it happen naturally.

Where were you three days before the fever hit? Did you keep a record of what you were doing? That can give you a pretty good idea of where you picked up the germ.
