Good Monday Morning! Thank you, @BryWisteria, for the weekly roundup! As always, you do excellent work!

Congratulations to @markzen304 and @Moonbeam! Y’all are on the ball! Thank you for bringing joy to the forum!

And thank you to my fellow W.I.T.C.Hes for helping to make all the new people feel welcome. Hi, new people! :waving_hand:

Busy week this week. I’ve got two doctor appointments, and I’ve never left the kitty home alone. I’m hoping the apartment is still standing when I get back tomorrow! LOL!

I’m also going to be finalizing the adoption of Houdini. They’re getting this cat back over my dead body! LOL! He’s too cute, but unless he’s asleep, he’s moving too much for me to get a good picture of his face! LOL! He knows what the TV remote controller is now, just like he knows what the treat box is. Bring one of them out, and he perks up and comes running!

Nothing much is going on for me this week besides that. It’s still a bit early to decorate for Fall, not that I’ll be doing as much this year. Nothing that might break! LOL!

Hope everyone has a good week!

Thank you for the new MMM, @BryWisteria!

Welcome, everyone! We’re happy you’re here with us!

Congrats to you two superstars for sharing your love and thoughts with us. A two-week streak - woo hoo!!

Congratulations to all my fellow W.I.T.C.H.ES! You’re all shining stars. :sparkles: :glowing_star:

I love this! Thank you for the permission to go buy some more books, @BryWisteria ! :open_book: (You can’t have too many!)

Happy Labor Day to our US and Canada members. Anyone doing anything special today? It’s been a weekend of art festivals and general street parties around here – so nice after the rain and scary storms of last week.

No plans for anything special this week - just hanging, some puttering in the garden and enjoying the new hint of Fall in the air. :leaf_fluttering_in_wind:

Fingers crossed that he’ll be a good kitty! You have to leave sometimes, and he’ll need to understand that you’ll always be back. Good luck!

 Yay!!!

Wishing everyone a blessed week! :raising_hands:

Congratulations @markzen304 and @Moonbeam on your two week streaks. You both rock!

And welcome to all our new members. We are so glad to have you with us and I look forward to getting to know you all.

And, as always, thank you to @BryWisteria for this wonderful roundup of all the activities in this awesome forum.

I have a peaceful week ahead. My doctor appointments are behind me for a few weeks -i think the next one is just a video call with my sleep apnea therapist.

Our weather is dipping in to the low 90s (LOL) so I may get out and start pulling some weeds out of the island beds. Or perhaps not. That’s the joy of retirement. I can do what i want, when I want. Or not, as I choose.

I was having withdrawals yesterday. Apparently there was some kind of internet glitch with Google and Google related sites. Some wouldn’t load at all, some (like the Spells 8 forum) were monumentally slow and it wasn’t easy for me to get around and post. And others, like NightCafe, got me stuck in a login/CAPTCHA loop.

But all is back to normal today, so I’m back and I’ll be posting again.

Sounds wonderful. I can only dream of a hint of fall.

New kitties are always an adventure. Leave some toys around for him to “hunt” and I’m sure he’ll be fine. I hope all goes well with the adoption finalization.

I once wrote an article about decorating for the holidays when you have cats, and it was basically extolled the virtues of wall decorations and garlands, well out of kitties reach, lol. And if you happen to have a china cabinet with glass doors, you can set up a little seasonal display behind that too, out of reach of kitty paws.

Not to brag, but it’s full sun and 68F/20C out there this morning! Having moved up here from Georgia, it still takes some getting used to. It will be 79F for the high today and back into the 60s at night. (And the rain is outta here!)

But I’ll be quite envious again when you’re well on your way in your garden come March, and I’m still looking at some snow in the yard! :joy:

Ah yes, that’s true. While we do have to put up with brutal summers, we do have the opportunity to enjoy gardening much earlier that most other people. And fall is generally pretty mild too - just too GREEN for me.

Thanks @BryWisteria - MMMs are fun.

Congrats to @markzen304 and @Moonbeam for their posts and likes. Letting people know they are involved is part of the joy of Spells8.

I’m not the only one who zeroed in on this as a worthy day. So many of us are book nerds. I once bragged I had a large number of books. Several chimed in with huge numbers - far surpassing my modest collection. It is good to be among people who love the same things. Sooo… I’m buying a book or two today.

Besides being Labor Day (US) today is also National Mouthguard Day. There just HAS to be a flippant quip in there somewhere.

I heard there is a new cat in town. I was visualizing him showing up for the TV remote and snacks. Houdini! Houdini! Yaaaayyy.

This week I’m continuing my study of Ovid (it will take a couple of weeks to get through his book). I found a cool way to make it easier. Ovid wrote in Latin using Roman names for Greek gods - so sometimes it gets confusing. I’m illustrating the stories as I go (hence it will be a while before I’m finished). Many of the stories are pretty dark when you take out the flowery language. Here is one I thought was a little funny:

(AI)

Jupiter (Jove, Zeus) turned himself into a beautiful and gentle cow and enticed shy Europo to take a gentle ride. Once on, Jupiter lit out at warp 4 for a distant island while everyone was screaming and wigging out. Europa was OK with it once she did a costume change.

Sounds to me like someone has thrown down the gauntlet! Well, I am choosing to behave. :zipper_mouth_face: Others may weigh in here.

These illustrations are turning out beautifully so far!

Wow! You guys are going strong! Congratulations!

Congratulations to all my fellow W.I.T.C.H.es! Making new members feel welcome is my favorite thing to do! :purple_heart:

I´m having a busy week at work ahead! Summer is over and customers are streaming in again. Nevertheless, I’ve resolved to cast a candle spell every evening this week—I’ve somehow drifted too far away from that! I draw tarot cards and practice Reiki, but I miss the simple, grounded candle magic that always brings me back to my roots.

I hope everone is having a good start into the new week!

To all our Coven members I have enjoyed reading all your posts.

@Amethyst

Thank you for your kindness. A busy week with finalising matters with Houdini he has definitely found his forever home. Do you have something you can put treats in to keep him occupied? Enjoy every moment. Good luck with your appointments.

@Feathertip

Thank you I am very touched. I have noticed the nights getting darker and anytime in our gardens is what I am going to do too.

@Greenbriar

Thank you. That is good no appointments for any if you. I was out in my garden yesterday and hopefully will be on Wednesday. We all have the same idea gardening whilst we can. Happy you have sorted out your glitch. Love reading your posts and our Group Tea Ritual.

Yeah, I think he’ll be okay. I just worry. If it’s bad, I’ll share pics! LOL!

You too! Have fun in your garden!

That’s the best part! LOL!

Thanks! I’m sure he’ll be okay. I’ll leave his TV on for him. LOL!

No china cabinet, but a lot of my decorations are wood, so they won’t break if they accidentally get knocked off. So far, he’s not really going and pushing things off the shelves; he just gets his zoomies in the morning and doesn’t see that there are things on the shelves. So it’s more of a side effect, of that makes sense.

You got it! He sees the TV come on in the morning and goes running! Thank you, kind sir!

Yeah, Zeus and the other Greeks had a thing for bulls, I do believe. LOL! The images look great though!

Good luck with your candle magic! Sometimes just lighting the candle is its own magic, you know?

Thanks for the idea, but not yet. I want to get a couple of those puzzle feeders, because he seems pretty smart. I think he’d have fun with that. Thanks for the good luck, too!

Our dogs love them, They keep at a new one until they figure it out, To hasten things, they toss them up in the air between tries. It usually works.. the puzzle goes way up and crashes down and any slightly loose treats spring out… but then we have flying toys all over the place.

I guess it would work! LOL! That’s one way of doing it! For today, I’m gonna hide some treats in his favorite toy. The Amazon packing paper. LOL! He’ll take a run and hit a strip of that and go sliding! He’s a hoot!
