Our beautiful @Nikki-Phoenix is the FF creator and she definitely rocks!
Here’s the second of the two AI thingies I did at Night Cafe. I feel obligated to post it at the top of each new thread:
Welcome to the new thread! (Maddeningly created right in the middle of this weekend’s FF!) ![]()
I have just looked it up we don’t have Fireflies in the UK If you do manage to see them at some point could you please take a photograph I am fascinated to see them.
@Moonbeam - I will certainly try! The little things might be hard with a cell phone but I’m curious to see if they can be captured. (Real camera = long exposure needed.)
@Amethyst - that’s what they need - their own duckie pool.
They’d love it!
Splash Pad Sprinkler/ Play Mat for Kids
You could make it rain for them anytime!
And wow, I just made ducks sound like strippers. Sorry.

3 movies a day makes you a bit of a connoisseur, right?
Thank you for the compliment. Many people have done a lot of work on these. I enjoy honoring them.
I like watching for rainbows, too! ![]()
We had a beautiful thunderstorm with a double rainbow, last night just before sunset! I was out, across the street, standing in the rain to watch the beautiful colors. How fun it was that the brightest rainbow had extra colors to it: the normal ROYGBIV, and then another YGBIV, faded underneath. Is that what they call a triple rainbow? Didn’t have my phone or tablet with me, but the rain was hard enough to cause problems, anyway.

have blight
Ooh. Sorry about that. Blight is hard to get rid of in the rain. May your new plants be healthy!
never heard of putting sugar on popcorn
You’ve never heard of Kettle Corn?!? It is an historical Midwest favorite. Take an extra step of melting the sugar in a bit of butter, and you have Cracker Jacks, albeit without the prize in the box.
As long as it’s not Air Bud. LOL!
Yeah. That was about as bad as when Francis the Mule played football. ![]()

my Sunshine Spell has worked this morning

Yay! So glad you were able to get some things done!

My regular summer visitors, Daisy and Jay the Mallard ducks, had an absolute splash party out there.
Welcome back Daisy and Jay! Good to see you happy and healthy!

@Feathertip @Nikki-Phoenix it is a wonderful addition to your weekly chill night (it is like being in an English Pub for Quiz Night) the vibes are there well done on your idea and creativity
![]()
![]()
Well, I’m sure Daisy would appreciate the intent!
She loves attention and everything being just so.
Jay stands by ready to beat the crap out of anyone who messes with her.
They signal Spring’s arrival for me now. My special annual friends, just visiting. ![]()
Well, now this just sounds awesome! I hope our lovely @Nikki-Phoenix swings by soon to appreciate this!
So glad you’re enjoying the vibe! ![]()
Oh, gosh, don’t remind me! Or that one with the chimp and Joey from Friends!
So he can be her bodyguard/bouncer! LOL!
Oh gads, I wish I was good at that Night Cafe stuff! That is a funny image!
Muscle bound duck bod: “I’ll be back!”

The Duckinator? ![]()
Duck on duck violence can be a sad thing!
Jay ain’t playing!
I know. Last time I was out to feed them, three ducks kept pushing a fourth under water to drown. Not pretty or funny. Politics at its most intense.
Not on movie theater popcorn. It was just sugar sprinkled on it like salt. My body was yelling "Spit it out, spit it out! ![]()

Howdy to All!
Aww, thank you! *small curtsey*
Do you have any magick spells or rituals that you like to practice during a New Moon? (Even taking advantage of the darker sky for stargazing is a ritual!)
I am patient with a great many things, but waiting for a New Moon is not one of them. Considering there is always a Full Moon somewhere on the planet, I figured the energy is always available so I cheat with a handheld projector, because I’m not as lucky as @dan3 (yes I’m jealous of your FABULOUS view of the Moon from your home) https://share.temu.com/fDK7Ug13J6B
If I don’t have anything specific planned, I’ll do a FM ritual to recharge, cause that always feels great.
Today (June 12th) is National Movie Night here in the US! This can be celebrated simply by thinking about making your own personal “movie night” bucket list.
Do you have a favorite movie - or a top 3? Or a favorite movie genre, with several favorites on the list? What are they?
Oh please don’t get me started, put it this way, I’ve watched and loved a lot of the movies already mentioned… I imagine my list is almost identical to @Amethyst ![]()

![]()
Do you like popcorn (with or without a movie night!)? Buttered or plain?
Yes I like popcorn but hate it getting stuck. I prefer sweet, cause then I can add salt as desired instead of there being too much or too little. And no, movie not required, just a desire for popcorn!
Do you like watching the rain?
I love it. In my early uni days our block was next to the uni lake, and every time it rained I would go down to the lake and dance with the trees
of course now I’d catch a cold in a second, so I prefer to observe rain from indoors.
We’re almost halfway through June already! How is your June shaping up so far?
Tumultuous, but manageable as always, because we have no choice but to keep going. Self development has been fun though, the path, as always, is interesting and exciting! I mean, Kipper cards… who knew?! ![]()
![]()
Aww thanks, I love that image of us all in an English pub, that would be awesome… another round of shots please Matron! ![]()

There. Done!
I’ll buy the next round! ![]()
You’ve got good taste! LOL!
Happy Friday once again, lovelies! I’m having a whirlwind of a month - how about you?? It almost made me forgot that this is in fact, a Friday and it’s time to relax as we move into the weekend, and have some fun!

Ready? Here are this week’s questions:
Today is National Garfield the Cat day! How many of us are familiar with this fictional cartoon character?
This comic strip character has been around since June 19th, 1978, by cartoonist Jim Davis, and Garfield became hugely popular - holding the Guinness Book of World Records for being the world’s most widely syndicated comic strip.
Do you like Garfield? Have you (or someone you know) ever named a kitty after him?
Have you ever read the same book more than once? What was it?
Do you like any romantic comedies?
If you didn’t have time to get to the store, would you rather eat cold cereal at home or order in?
I’m off for my weekly store run, but will be back later with my answers. Have fun!

We have storms for the next few days (nothing dramatic, just lots of clouds). Celebration has to be inside. Will probably read and tip a Pepsi to the event.
I can’t say I like him. Snoopy used to crack me up but I grew to dislike Charlie Brown entirely. Calvin and Hobbes is great (used it to help in learning Spanish - the jokes translate well). Brian from Family Guy is good. He has a bit more depth ![]()
I’ve read lots more than once… like lots. The first time I remember doing it was right after I finished Catch 22 and realized it was great. I probably read it three or more times over the years. I recently bought a digital copy and it is in the queue to be read again.
Occasionally. When Harry Met Sally is probably my favorite. The genre is not my goto though. Having said that, I’ve seen many because it IS the SO’s goto. We trade-off on flicks/series.
Not sure what my options are. I doubt I would ever order cold cereal in but if asking what would I do if nothing was in the pantry, I would skip over to Mickey D’s (one is nearby) and get a big breakfast with hotcakes. I do that every couple of months - the SO and I split one up (I order a side of eggs and sausage and it makes two breakfasts).
Ooh fun Friday ![]()

Yes, he has a great outlook on life ![]()
Oh yes, the Twilight series like over and over and over
