Seeking a Mentor

Hi everyone! My name is Kasandra.

While I’m oldish. I’ve identified as a witch since my teens. I’ve done a bunch of research but I need help with connecting.

I’m a military veteran and have difficulty opening myself. Through out my life its always been Artemis I seek guidance from. And she has truly saved my life multiple times in combat and disasters. To this day, she has helped navigate.

I’m seeking a mentor to help me open up and learn rituals and spells to help me along my way. While I’m eclectic now, I learned Sea Magic at a young age growing up by the beach.

I’m looking forward to chating with you all.

Blessed Be!

Thank you for your service!

Perhaps you can start here:

I’m Georgia, originally from Indiana, now living in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Since I’m a writer, fixing computers for people who can’t afford a professional, I focus a lot on the element of air.

Thanks for the offer! I’m kinda land locked, but I have worked with river spirits and enjoyed time by lakes. Your specialties will come in handy if you’d like to join the challenges:

And we have a weekly tea ritual you might enjoy. This was our most recent one, which some are still indulging in:

Hello and welcome. I’m Tracy from England. I practice Nordic Traditional and Runic Witchcraft mostly mentored by Loki, god of chaos so yeah, there’s alot of chaos Magick in my practice too

The weekly challenge is not really a challenge in the sense of the word, it’s just a place where we can share an aspect of the craft we’re looking into, or a part of our practice, and then have a good ole chat together about all magical things. There’s a different theme each time, it’s super fun and no pressure.

Looking forward to getting to know you :green_heart:

Welcome @kasandra1 ! It’s great to have you with us! I’m from Minnesota and have been practicing many different aspects of the craft for 35+ years. I currently work with chaos magick, voodoo and divination.

Feel free to jump in any of the other discussions and if you have questions don’t hesitate to ask. Someone is always available to guide you.

Hi, @kasandra1! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum! :infinite_roots:

First of all, thank you for your service.

I don’t feel comfortable mentoring someone as I don’t feel as if I’ve learned enough, if that makes sense. But there is just oodles of great information here, and I’m pretty sure someone works with Artemis.

I’m kinda jealous you lived near the beach. I’ve lived landlocked all my life and I’d love to see the ocean again. Last time I saw it I was like, ten. So it’s been a long time ago.

Anyhow, it’s nice to meet you! I hope you find what you need here.

Meet meet @kasandra1 and welcome!

Thank you for your service! My SO is an Air Force veteran and works for a VA hospital currently.

My name is Kat, and I’ve been practicing the craft for over 30 years. My practice is rooted in a blend of nature magick, green magick, and elements of hedgecraft. I work closely with the natural world, drawing inspiration from plant spirits, animal spirits, and liminal spaces. My interests include herbalism, gardening, and divinatory practices like tarot, throwing bones, and Lenormand.

There is a wonderful search function that will help you dig for more information in the forums!

We’re glad to have you here. :purple_heart: Make yourself comfortable, explore, and feel free to ask questions!:herb: :bow_and_arrow: :acorn: :crescent_moon: :deer:

Hi @kasandra1!

I’m new here, too. Like you, I’m a vet (28 years) and have the '‘been there, done that’ medal. My interest, at the moment, is Chaos and belief systems. I hope you find what you need here. It is a great living repository and you will likely find many things that suit your path. Good luck!

So please educate me. Do you have to be by the sea to use them. Can you use sea water? What kind of spells are there? Can you use these spells with any body of water? My mother lives by a lake and it would be great to connect with the water there.

Please do connect with the lake! Use what you have access to! If ocean water is not available and you want to use it, make some using sea salt; but please be careful pouring the salt water onto plants because it could kill them. All spells can be modified for convenience.

Some ideas of sea spells are included below:

Those with more experience around the sea, please add more?

Hi @kasandra1 and welcome to the family!

I think the beauty of this coven is that everyone is a mentor, really… everyone here is so knowledgeable and so generous with their knowledge, so you’ll find that there’s an “expert” in most areas of the craft here.

We’re all learning every day, so welcome to the journey! Maybe as you progress, you’ll naturally bond with someone, who knows…
