I always hang out with one because by the time I think I have them down, something goes awry & I start all over with the one until I can move up to 2 & sometimes 3!
I think your interpretations were great & being able to make sense of them! I have days with one that I’m like… um…what!!! Kudos to you! 
I had received a set of Witch Runes from a witch box subscription months ago and never used them. I was reading a kindle book called Witch Runes how to make and Interpret by Alison Beldon-Smith. She wrote about cleaning and consecrating them. I received my Lapis runes from Amazon and I am going to clean both sets tonight. They are in a bowl of salt and I will set them out under the moonlight. Then I will say:
“Gracious Goddess with your moonlight
Cleanse these Runes throughout the night
From past memories set them free
That they may evermore serve me.”
I will consecrate them tomorrow morning and they will be ready to use.
Those are beautiful! Both sets! I still have to work on my entry. I accidentally came across Witches Runes a bit ago when I was doing the Elder Futhark & Ogham.

Aside from the fantastic info here on Spells8 on Runes, there’s a Nordic Saami Norn on YouTube called Freyja Norling (I think I’ve posted links to her videos before for info on Loki). Her analysis of the Runes is quite interesting.
I wasn’t sure I had interpreted it right, but that’s what I got, you know? And I get being intimidated by spreads, it’s difficult to read them together. Thanks, love!

I am so glad we did this challenge because I’ve been so curious about Runes and this made me learn more about them 
I really need a badge for doing my chores every week, those badges are so motivating LOL. Can I get a badge for getting my oil changed? I have been putting that off.
So, for this challenge, since I am a completely new to Runes, I completed the Spells8 course.
Let me say that again. I completed the Spells8 course. I did all the lessons. First time I have done a course all the way through. Let us hope this is a new habit.
And I really enjoyed it. I am excited to learn that rune reading is so compatible with other forms of spell work, like using candles, crystals and Tarot. And I LOVE the symbolism! I love the icicle rune and the “weird” one.
I plan to make a rune BOS with all the Spells8 rune printable pages soon, but for now, I just did the course and I made my own set of Runes.
I was about 3/4 of the way through the course when I made the Runes. I just couldn’t wait any longer. Well, I hadn’t read the part yet where it said make one side blank, so you can read reversals. So on my Runes, both sides have the rune.
But it’s all good. I just put a red dot on one side that is the reversal side. Because I know me and once I turn over that rune, if there are three or more in a spread, I am going to promptly forget whether it was reversed or not. My short term memory is not great.
So my mistake actually turned out to work for me.
I used wood slices I bought at Dollar Tree and a brown permanent marker to make my Runes. It didn’t take long at all and I really like them. I knew carving was out because I don’t have that degree of fine motor dexterity.
I have been doing one-rune draws to start, as I am still learning the meanings. Tonight I drew Naudiz. I was kind of pumped that it seemed to be evocative of Saturnian energy, tonight being Saturday and all. And Saturn is prominent in my birth chart. At least it’s a familiar vibe. Some of us need all the restraint the Universe can dish out.
So, I am digging the Runes. Thanks so much for another fun witchy challenge!
Im afraid because of work n other demands on time ive not been able to do all id hoped to do, but i habe been taking note of the daily rune notifivatiom that comrs up from the app and as im stressinh about wirk this week not only doing yet another extra day week despite all i have on shoulders even for work but staff shortages still issue, so i did a spread with runes asking about fhr work situation…
Its an influences and obstacles spread. Ill put screen shot below. Honesrlu wished could of done more but between utter exhaustion stress n pain im in im afrain this was all i can do and as im working frim tommorow onwards long shifts n long travel etc im afraid this may be all i can do this week. Not to mention mountain of stufy im behind on cause longer hours n ectra days over tge past weeks. I chose thjs spread for maybe sime insight to help see a way through the week to come.
I might also include drawing the Algriz rune on me somehow each day for protection during the week cause im going to need it.
History - There isn’t a solid source of when these runes originated but theories agree they were created sometime in the late nineteenth century or the early twentieth century from an alphabet that was specifically used for witches & divination. When looking into them they have been confused with the Elder Futhark Runes
of the Norse or the Ogham of the Celtic
cultures.
Often there will be between 8 and 10 runes, more common is that there are 13 Witch’s Runes.

Witch’s Runes: Other Worldly Oracle
I purchased my own set of Witch’s Runes because my hands won’t let me handle & create my right now. I took kickboxing before my condition was diagnosed & before I had started having issues that required surgery, especially in my hands. Not to mention ALL of my craft stuff is now downstairs & wound up all over the place once my oldest moved home. So it will be a while before I can create anything 
I would like to make them from similar-sized shells as I am going to be creating my own Ogham out of wood with a wood-burning tool. I chose the 13 Witch’s Raven 
Runes with a bag to keep them in & draw from there. It also includes casting instructions. (If I ever get past drawing one of anything 
)
I also have ordered a pdf file of the Witch’s Runes Grimoire pages with the history & meanings of each rune to include in my digital BOS files. I have separated them from the Elder Futhark ones in the same folder by making a subfolder specifically for the Witch’s Runes.
This weeks challenge I am going to use my tunes made from lapis lazuli crystal to give me insight and direction to questions I have that might influence the outcome:

I found a draconic runic alphabet! Isedon Goldwing envisioned these runes in April 2001.
After adding the runes to my BOS, I created a circle with amethyst, green aventurine, amber, and moss agate, and lit a purple candle. I wanted to try a different method of divination with runes. Instead of pulling the runes out of a bag, I asked a question and rolled three of the amethysts like dice and see which rune they landed on.
They landed on Athanen (second of the third column), Li (first column, second starting from the bottom) and Drakaneal (six of the third column).
Athanen represents law, peace, rigidity, prosperity, and stability.
Li represents fire, passions, energy, warmth, fury, and loyalty.
Drakaneal represents unity, community, discovery, preparation, and development.
One of the reasons Thanksgiving is stressful is figuring out whose house to go to for dinner (and who is making the dinner). I usually can’t travel very far for Thanksgiving because of my job. Besides my parents, most of my family lives far away (we’re talking a six hour drive, if traffic isn’t congested). While I’ve been lucky to have gotten the whole day off, I have had to work at least in the morning ever since I started working.
I was hoping that the runes would give me an idea what to expect this year, and based on what they mean, things will be difficult, but the situation won’t be that bleak.
This weeks challenge is on a topic very new to me. Although, I have seen many article on the Runes, it just seemed pretty complicated to start learning about them while I am learning 1,500 other topics, just kidding. The first thing I did was Scroll through Spells 8 and TheTravelWitch_Bry found this online, Runic Translator 11 that translates English words into Runes that can be copy/pasted fast and for free!

Ansuz represents spoken communication and what we learn from others. It indicates that you should spend more time with older and wiser people, listening to some important advice.
Rune 5 – RAIDHO
This rune is about the constant evolution and your journey. Think of your goals and all the steps you need to follow in order to achieve them. It also indicates changes and travels.
Rune 6 – KENAZ
Kenaz is a symbol of our intuition. This rune gives clarity in complicated situations. You might not have been aware of the light, but this rune gives you hope that you will soon find a solution.
Rune 7 – GEBO
Gebo relates to our relationships and reminds you that we always should give in order to receive. It reflects the need for living in harmony with yourself, so you can do the same with others.

I could not wait to use the Runic Translator 11, as I was very curious of what the meaning was and how my name looked. The Runes really resonated with me. I am going to make/buy my own set and try a few Spells or Meditations with them.

After reading the Elder Futhark’s meaning behind the Runes’s, it hit home with me. I am convinced that my journey with also include Runes used with my Magick, Spell making, meditations and much more. I am looking forward to learning more through my constant research, feedback and Spells 8. Below explains how to allow magick to be activated. I cannot wait to try this!

Simple, Daily Rune Magick
Runes are multi-dimensional and dynamic in so many ways. When you really get to know the runes on a deep, spiritual level, they sort of make their way into your daily life without you even realizing it! BUT if you’re not to that level yet or you need some fresh ideas, here’s a few ways to incorporate rune magick into your daily life: (otherworldyoracle.com)
⦁ Draw runes (like Wunjo, Kenaz, Uruz, Eiwaz, Algiz, etc.) in the air over your food while cooking or over your coffee/tea/water throughout the day; choose a rune depending on your intention
⦁ Draw runes with sauces over your foods, too
⦁ Draw runes over the body to aid in healing; for instance – draw Laguz for blockages or Berkano for overall healing. This works for stomachaches, headaches, etc. It may not completely relieve the problem, but it will help reduce.
Sign your name and end it with your favorite rune.
⦁ When you do your home cleansings/blessings: dip your finger into oil and draw protective runes over your doors, windows, fireplace, etc.

@Susurrus Aw hunni thank you. I have missed you too. I have been busier than ever lately at work. But busy good, busy keeps mind busy. As soon as I saw this week’s challenge about runes I immediately thought of you! I thought ‘I know who’s got his on in the bag’- boom boom in the bag! Oh I’m shocking.
Lol… I actually explored Witches Runes for this week. I had come across them when I did the Rune posts but didn’t go any further… so this was perfect 
Biggest challenge for me was how am I going to work with them! I so wanted to work with the runes in a way that was easy and not forced.
The witches runes piqued my curiosity and I originally was going to use the set of 8 until I read Kitty’s reasoning at her Otherworldly Oracle site seen below.
“13 Witches Runes Meanings
I’ve seen some people use eight and ten witches’ runes, but in my humble opinion, thirteen is the magical number. Why? Historically, thirteen has been a sacred number to witches because of the thirteen lunar phases per year, and traditionally there’s thirteen witches per coven. So I prefer to use the thirteen witches runes. I will provide you all with MY interpretation of each witches rune meanings; HOWEVER, keep in mind it’s up to you to determine what each rune truly means in a reading.”
I really felt comfortable with her interpretation of the runes meanings and set about making an imperfectly perfect set for myself.

My query was, What energy do I need to pay attention to the most in this moment? The energetic pull (thumbs up 
) to the Scythe was spot on!

I am taking time this to let go of taking immediate action on all things-all the time, especially around financial decisions. Shifting my attention to taking inventory of my stuff and releasing that which no longer serves me or modifying it to suit my current needs.
I was going to avoid this weekly challenge because I thought it would be lots of studying and discomfort with this type of divination. I realize now that there are many different ways to work with Runes. In the end this challenge brought a smile to my face .

I had to go to it when I found the images on my laptop that were from Pinterest but originated from the site & I’m so happy that I did!
Well, I managed to still do my Challenge in Word, copy, Post…and it worked! I wanted to really put out a good paper, but I just did not have enough time. This week has been quite the challenge also. I usually put more effort into the Weekly Witchy Challenge but for some reason, I just kept running out of my day. I have always said the key to Success is, Organization and I think someone/something took it from me (lol).
I am going to sit down and start a list of my daily Rituals for my mornings, afternoons, and nights. Thank you Bry, Blessed Be.
