CHALLENGE ENTRY
For me, the smell of cinnamon wafting through the house brings me joy. It purifies, protects, brings love, luck and fortune. Therefore, I utilised this magickal ingredient this week by making some really simple cinnamon swirls.
I also took the rough cinnamon bark that remained after grinding it and steeped in a jug of hot water. When it cooled, i used it to water the plants in the garden as it prevents the growth of fungus. It also protects the plants against rot and acts as a deterrent to ants, squirrels, moles and others that may want to eat the contents of the garden.
Blessed be
Alan
They look yummy Alan!

They say everything north of the south pole is sacred
and everything south of the north pole is ordinary
I’m afraid I only made ordinary cookies in a sacred house
with ordinary Ingredients in a sacred oven
with the power of the southern Fire element.
There was only the magic of half the previous sheet of cookies disappearing
before the next batch was done
It’s been years since I’ve baked anything.
They turned out very good and gooey in the center.
Witchy tip, always put a slice of bread in the container
of all your baked goods you want to stay soft and chewy.
Sounds strange, but try it, it works.
Hi Alan,
I really like using cinnamon in the kitchen too! This is a great recipe I definitely will write theirs down in my recipe book
For this challenge, I wanted to share my bean soup recipe! I know it’s summertime but I love this recipe because it helps my digestion and it’s also tasty
And it’s easy and healthy!
I just love this recipe with a piece of toast
Also I decided to drink some tea and charged my drink!
I try to use my intuitive sense and be wise throughout the day! It’s my reminder to do the self care and work I need too! I used salt crystals to charge my amethyst for today and add some magic to my day!

So ive not got to shops yet. My heads still in alot of pain and my cheek and jaw on one side still ache at times. I realised that if waited till i got the actual food ( still living on protein shakes only now thats all i managed to have for 3 days.
But my plan tommorow is to get a few things to do some cooking, but i realise due to time difference by time post id of missed challenge.
But so heres the plan n its cool if its not counted as the actual cooking would happen after cut off but i thought id at least give the challenge a go.
So for 1. Ive been thinkibg of chocolate swirl cheesecakes for a while and so i figured as a treat to make one.
Biscuits and melted butter for base.
2pk cream cheese
Tin of condenced milk
Vanilla essense
Cherries ( the ones with… i think they are called glazed cherries.
And dark cooking chocolate.
Biscuits and melted butter mixed and pressed into a spayed glass dish.
Cream cheese, vanilla essense and condenced milk blended till smooth and cherries added then put over the biscuit base. The melted chocolare is then swirled over n stirred a bit into the cheese cake mixture.
Then in fridge yo set
Now im thinking to add to the normal recipe ill either make the melted chocolate into the Algriz runes, or dor the runes i want in a circle around the cake. Or ill make it as normal then either draw runes over top with maybe a different colour chocolate or some other decoration.
Brown biscuit base is for grounding, white cheese cake is for cleansing away bad or negative energy, black dark chocolate is for protection and green cherries to add luck and abundance to help improve sitiation. And the runes can also add to this intention.
It’s time for a friendly reminder:
This challenge will soon close

Pumpkin Cheesecake Cookie
These are honestly one of my favorites to make, have to practice patience because they can take a while too make. It makes the whole house smell like Fall which is my favorite season It’s almost like a simmer pot but you get to eat it lol
Recipe is from: In Bloom Bakery
I wasn’t able to find everything I needed for them but I will post the recipe
INGREDIENTS
LAVENDER WHITE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
- 113 g unsalted butter (½ c.)
- 50 g granulated sugar (¼ c.)
- 100 g light brown sugar (½ c.)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. lavender extract
- 150 g all purpose flour (1 ¼ c.)
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- 140 g white chocolate (¾ c. + 1 tbsp.)
LAVENDER SUGAR
- 75 g granulated sugar (¼ c. + 2 tbsp.)
- 1 tbsp. dried culinary lavender
INSTRUCTIONS
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F / 175°C. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
-
In a small saucepan set over medium heat, brown the butter. Stir the butter occasionally until it turns amber in color and develops little brown specks.
-
Transfer the brown butter to a small heat-safe bowl. You should be left with at least 90g of brown butter (but not more than 95g). If you have a little less than 90g, just add in some water until you reach it.
-
Place the brown butter in the freezer for 5 minutes to cool down.
-
In the meantime, prep your white chocolate and lavender sugar.
-
Chop up the white chocolate and set aside. Then, blend the 75g of granulated sugar with the dried culinary lavender in a food processer to break up the lavender into smaller pieces. Pour the lavender sugar into a bowl and set aside.
-
Once the brown butter has cooled, mix in both sugars.
-
Whisk in the egg and lavender extract until well combined.
-
Add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Use a rubber spatula to fold the mixture together just until a few flour streaks remain.
-
Add in the white chocolate and fold just until no flour streaks remain.
-
Scoop out heaping 3 tbsp. scoops of dough, and roll each cookie ball in the lavender sugar. Place the cookies at least 2" apart on the baking sheet to allow room for spreading.
-
Top each cookie with additional white chocolate if desired, and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are golden brown.
-
Immediately after taking the cookies out of the oven, you can take a bowl that is slightly larger than the cookies and swirl it around over the cookies to make them a little more uniform and circular.
-
Serve and enjoy!
So many good recipes to save for later – I haven’t gotten to my challenge this week. Hopefully, I can make it happen tonight. Oh! You know what, I can share a recipe for my favorite “ice cream”. It’s one thing I love to make when I want something sweet but don’t have plant-based ice cream.
I don’t have any pictures yet, but if I make some tonight I’ll share it.
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup plant milk
- chocolate fudge protein powder
- any other things I feel like adding
I like this because it can be customized to fit pretty much any magical intention. Add in some cinnamon and mint for prosperity, lavender and chamomile for calming, or even food coloring to make the color match your intention.

The name of the game at our house has been comfort food and using up everything we can before we travel this week.
I made cinnamon swirl banana bread yesterday. It was dreary and stormy and blah. It warmed all of us right up!
2 cups of flour
1:4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
2 1/2 overripe banana
I added cinnamon til the voice of my ancestors whispered “enough, my child”
Bake until a fork comes out clean. It was delicious!
Those look so good! And would be a nice cookie before bedtime, if they lasted that long.

Honey Lavender Shortbread Cookies
Perfect for Beltane!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoons dried culinary lavender
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
-
In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add the honey and dried lavender, and mix until well combined.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
-
Shape the dough into a log about 2 inches in diameter. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Remove the dough from the refrigerator and slice it into 1/4-inch thick rounds. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about an inch apart.
-
Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Pictures tomorrow after I’ve had time to make them!

I made some pancakes, which have been my family’s go-to treat from since I can remember
Simple and delicious, we’ve tweaked the recipe over the years and right now it looks like this: (for two people)
Half a liter of milk
Two eggs
Half a teaspoon of salt
A glass of sugar
As much flour as it takes to get the consistency right
Half a teaspoon of vanilla extract
Half a teaspoon of baking powder
The batter should be thin enough to pour easily on the pan, and thick enough to stay together when poured. On a stove with temperature 1 to 6, 3-4 should be good for a small pan, 4-5 on a large one. Somehow the sweet spot is always between two temperatures Experiment what’s the best for your stove and pan
I like how much nuance and mastery there can be to even such a simple recipe And as the pancakes are best served right off the pan (as their name implies
) they’re best enjoyed together with someone, switching between frying and eating
They’re also an excellent Litha treat, being the shape and color of the sun, and best enjoyed with strawberries
If you want a really sweet treat, add some vanilla ice cream on top together with the strawberries
And if you want contrast, coffee is lovely
Keep eating as long as you can, make it a competition if you must, and then take a nap
This challenge is now CLOSED
