Welcome to all! We’re glad you’re here! :sparkling_heart:

Congrats to you both, for sharing your love and posts and beautiful photos! We’re blessed to have you. :raising_hands: :heart:

Thank you, @BryWisteria for the new MMM! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Not a whole lot on tap this week. I’m going shopping to an actual store (a rare event) for some new athletic shoes - what we used to just call “tennis shoes,” whether you played tennis or not. (How do these things evolve, anyway?) I might have to drop big bucks since I want to get something that will help my knees as well as my feet.

I’m way past due: my current shoes are kind of dry-rotting around the heel. I’ve been peeling off icky chunks of stuff. :sweat_smile: I hate shopping!

Wednesday I have a follow-up with the orthopedic guy who did my platelet injections a few weeks ago. No real improvement yet to report. I hope I notice something within the next few weeks!

Not much else going on in my part of the world. Wishing everyone a wonderful week! :heart:

It’s a great Monday and time for MMM! Thanks, @BryWisteria

Congrats to @markzen304 and @Moonbeam for making Spells8 a great place!

Interesting events coming - I’m especially looking forward to:

  1. Celtic Tree Month - Yay!

  2. Pet Rock Day - Oh, Yes.

  3. Talk Like a Pirate Day (Sept 19). Arrrrgghh

I’m on a reading frenzy. I’ve done the Homer Epics, Circe, and now, after saying I wouldn’t, I’ve started “Song of Achilles”. I can be such a delight at family gatherings with all the information I’m getting.

We saw Odyssey. Having just read the Iliad and the Odyssey, I had to bend the SO’s ear about the comparison between the movie and the books. I’m such a good conversationalist. (Seriously, the movie was great - though each adventure was slightly different than the book, it was a good time)

The dog helped me with the Lenormand page for September She waited until I was doing an edit and had turned away then stepped on the keyboard to enter her own comment. She said “mmmmmm mmmmm”. Quite revealing.

Here’s to a great week for everyone!

Congratulations to @markzen304 and @Moonbeam for being Super Stars! :glowing_star: Y’all are amazing! Thank you for the love you’ve shared this week!

And hi to the new people! Hope you’re having fun! :waving_hand: And thanks to @BryWisteria for putting this wonderful post together! We’d be running around in circles without you, dear heart!

Well, I’m getting ready to have a roommate! I should know more today, but I’m pretty sure I can pick him up on Wednesday. I’m so excited I’m even cleaning out junk drawers! And it’s the first of the month, which means grocery shopping; the next couple of days will be busy. Plus, I’m thinking of getting the Fall boxes out. Just to be ready. You know. Even though I probably won’t put out as many flowers and leaves as last year. Depending on how destructive the kitty is. I’ve left a few unbreakable Summer things out, so we’ll see how he reacts.

Nothing else big going on for me this week. I’m gonna try to de-clutter my brain along with my junk drawers during the Waning Moon. We’ll see how that goes.

Anyhow, that’s me. Hope everyone has a good week!

Ha! Sucka! I had a feeling you couldn’t resist this one. :wink: Can’t wait to hear your review on it. I hope you like it (after listening to all my prattle!).

I’m sure they’re delighted with all the knowledge you’re sharing about these ancient poems, though, with the Trojan War and various heroes and monsters. I mean, it sounds exciting just typing that all out! :blush:

~runs to hide~

This is seriously the news of the week! So happy for you and this exciting time. :grinning_cat_with_smiling_eyes: Looking forward to seeing the little guy.

Cleaning out the junk drawers can be very therapeutic. This sounds like a Fall cleanse, just in time to welcome the new family member. :heart:

@Greenbriar

Thank you for your kind thoughts.

@Feathertip

Thank you I appreciate your kind words. Skechers Slip-Inn are brilliant no need to bend down to tie laces, waterproof, breathable, cushioned, lightweight. I do a lot walking and have noticed a big difference I would highly recommend them. Their website is Skechers.com. Best wishes for your othopedic appointment.

@dan3

Thank you for your kindness. Reading is good in a lot of ways and you are on a quest glad you are enjoying the journey of knowledge.

@Amethyst

Thank you. I cannot wait to see the photographs of your new roommate not long now. I am excited to meet him too. Lots of cuddles are on the way. Decluttering is a great way to focus, re-set for your new adventure with your bundle of fluff.

I have a three day so more time for puppy training.

Wising everyone a blessed week :waning_gibbous_moon::dotted_six_pointed_star::green_heart:

I get on knowledge quests. It is actually part of my path. I start burrowing into something and get obsessed. The Greeks have a LOT written about them. I started scanning Ovid the other day and will have to open that up for a real read… after the current book perhaps.

I grabbed a pile of dust, and holding it up, foolishly asked for as many years as the grains of dust. I forgot to ask that they be years of youth.

Ovid, Metamorphosis

@dan3

The fact that you feel that you are obsessed on something that gives you so much pleasure and is an important part of your practice is to be celebrated. I enjoy reading your thoughts and insights of what you have discovered. I believe that learning from others is how we grow both in mind and spirt and to that end keep expanding the beauty of knowledge.

Great quote by the way :heart:

Will do! I’m looking forward to it!

And we’re happy you’re here! You’ve brightened up the place!

Thanks! It’s gonna be fun to get to know him.

Yep! I actually got rid of a bit of stuff today, so yay!

I’ve even redoing my bedspread. Because a little cat probably wouldn’t do well under a huge weighted blanket.

Yay! Good luck with that. I’m gonna be attempting some clicker training as well, if only to keep him from the kitchen cabinets.

How awesome is this? :clap: :heart:

Easy to go down a rabbit hole when there’s so much out there and the writing is this good!

You’re thinking of everything! This is really a thoughtful observation - he is going to be a little guy.
