Congrats to you two fabulous witches - both of you on a two-week streak! Yes indeed, look at both of you go!

Not too much on tap for me this week. I’ll be in my happy places a lot (kitchen, art room) getting things done. It’s a beautiful sunny day outside - yay!!

I went grubbing around the yard yesterday looking for signs of Spring, and came across these:

They may have migrated a bit, but that’s okay. And they seem a bit early this year, but that’s in keeping with everything else that I’ve been noticing. Since winter - and snow! - came early this season, I think we’re due for a lovely early Spring.

I totally overslept today - according to the clock on Daylight Savings Time, that is! So I’ve been hustling a bit to catch up with my day. We may hear from an electrician this week to get us an estimate - no biggie, just a lot of little jobs around the house.

More rain coming this week, so I am enjoying this sunshine while it lasts. Wishing everyone a lovely and magickal week!

Yay! Great job! Keep up the great work! :confetti_ball::tada:

I can almost smell hyacinths already!

Seeking a new battery for my phone, this week.

The apartment complex has planned some crafting on Tuesday, and a garden club on Thursday. Coffee Clutch will be breakfast burritos on Wednesday before I head out to get groceries. I may even be able to make the food bank on Friday the 13th! This is setting up to be a nice, busy week with weather hovering around 70°.

Meanwhile, I’m working on St Pat’s movies from my collection. Wearing all the green I can!

Have a fun week, everyone!

Well done fellow magical beings for the shout outs @Greenbriar @leilani1

This week has started off a bit blah …I’m in a topsy tervi mood… overwhelmed I think …tired, just blah:see_no_evil_monkey:

I guess some exercise and meditation could help give my head a wobble but all things considered I’m here I’m grateful and blessed :sparkles:

Yay! Thanks to both you for helping and recognizing all us!

This week the SO is spending money! She has a great sense of how the house should look (our youngest inherited her skill). She is eying updating our bathrooms (Yikes).

I’ve been mowing through pulp mystery books - occasionally I get in a mood and I’m in one now. They aren’t paranormal but the ones I’m reading now bring up a lot of interesting ideas about life., religion, and doing what is right - even if it hurts. If you are interested in such things, look at the Andie Stackhouse books (The Girl Who Would be Sheriff) by Alan Lee. These books were written as a prequel but stand alone and are great. Read them first - there are five of them. They are prequels to a longer series about a noir type gumshoe called August Mackenzie. Both series are great examples of their genre (and quite popular)..

Along with Sam Spade type books, I got ā€œThe Poetic Eddaā€ and ā€œThe Prose Eddaā€ which are the foundation knowledge about the Norse cosmos. I really hesitated on these but I’m glad I got them. They are more like reference books but they give me a better understanding of the Norse rowdies. They work great with the runes - using the Eddas to explain why an archetype matches a rune. I learned that AI stories about the archetypes borrow heavily from the Prose Edda (the youngest of the two). The Poetic Edda is more ā€˜The Horse’s Mouth’ and has some details that are missing from common thought… mostly dark details.

My card fetish is still going strong. I recently collected a LOT of digital Tarot decks that were on Etsy. I’m learning that there are a LOT of decks out there - and there is a LOT of dross. I’m appreciating my early fussiness about what I liked in a deck.

Finally - and always. Thanks to @BryWisteria for doing these weekly news posts. I love them!

Look at you, lovely Ladies!! Congratulations! :sparkles: :sparkles: :sparkles:
Also, I canĀ“t believe itĀ“s the last quarter of the Moon already…how does time go by so quickly??

Lovely! Enjoy your time in your happy places!

Oh, how wonderful! I“m watching the green buds on trees growing bigger with every day. Not long, then the first spring green will appear! :seedling:

Etsy is a dangerous place! Since I found out that there are tons of witchy coloring pages I really have to controll myself…

I“m having a busy work week ahead of me, with an early start tomorrow (getting up at 5am) and a long day on Wednesday (coming home at 8pm).
We“ve had some sunny, warm days lately (yay!) and a few more to come, until some rain will hit us on the weekend. But that“s okay, too.

I hope you“re all having a lovely week! :purple_heart:

Congratulations to @leilani1 and @Greenbriar! Thanks for your support of the forum!

What are they, hens and chickens? They look cute!

I’m sorry you’re running late, but yay for more sleep!

Wow, you got a busy week! It sounds like you’re in the party apartments!

Is there more than Darby O’Gill and the Little People, The Quiet Man, and Leprechaun?

Although I must admit to liking The Secret of Roan Inish.

I’m sorry you’re having a cruddy start to the week. It’ll get better!

Well, hopefully the more money she spends, the less you have to put together? I mean, if it’s not Ikea stuff, you won’t have to build it!

Oh wow. Get rest when you can! That sounds like a crappy schedule!

I’m having an allergic reaction to something on my feet. Ever wake up with hives on your feet? Not fun. I’m going to the doctor for it tomorrow to get help. I just need to stop itching for a little bit. I had a late afternoon appointment today, so I couldn’t take a benadryl till I got home. I did that first thing when I got back, though! Was still so itchy, I took another one. Only mildly sleepy, so that tells you how itchy I was. Hopefully, the doctor can help me.

Then I have an apartment inspection on Thursday! Fun fun. This one is by the USDA, so I hope I pass. We’ll see.

Other than that, I have no big plans for this week. Rest this weekend, I guess. Get started figuring out what I want to do for Ostara.

Anyhoo, hope you all have a good week!

While I pride myself on such skills, the SO’s profession was with Nebraska Furniture Mart and she has a permanent employee discount and a taste for good furniture. For the first few years she was working, it was a zero sum job.

:tada: Congratulations to you both on two-week streaks! :tada: Thank you, @leilani1, for sharing so much of your wisdom with us, and to @Greenbriar for sharing so much of your love! :pink_heart:

Trying to get back into my normal routine finally but the time change didn’t do me any favors  Thought I accidentally scheduled PT at the same time as my shift taking care of the shelter cats but when I got to PT late (partly due to thick fog and traffic and partly becuase I left when I was supposed to be there :woman_facepalming:) it turns out, actually the appointment is Tuesday at 8 am. So I headed to the county animal services to find out there were only 6 cats in both adoption wings, so my crazy morning turned into running around with little to show. Oh well

Spring is here, for now. There’s talk of a freeze later this week, but I’m hoping it’s just talk. I’m looking forward to my calendar for this month and next for birding day trips, as well as an overnight one in April to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I spent some time this afternoon starting some bean, pepper, and squash seedlings, repairing a few things on my raised garden,s and cleaning out the leaves in the herb garden to scatter a shade wildflower seed mix.

The spring weather and the impending equinox have sparked a bit of creative inspiration to work on and now refine my Spring set of tree oracle tokens.

Annnnnd I started writing this post 45 minutes ago and got lost in several unrelated open tabs on my laptop. Time for bed

Crocus and hyacinth - they do look like hens and chicks right now, though - good call!

Honestly, I’m afraid to go there. Full of rabbit holes I want to go down! :joy:

W0oT! I hope she’s having fun! These kinds of projects only come around a couple of times in a lifetime, so it’s an odd thrill. Enjoy the ride!

I hope it all smooths out for you soon, sweetie! Take care of yourself. :people_hugging:

Gah - I overlooked that before - hope it’s better now! I’m a major lightweight with stuff like Benadryl - that stuff knocks me out. I’d have slept the day away in a fog.

Oh, that sounds fun! Are these going to be from the same group of trees? The ones you showed us last time were stunning.

 You sound like me! SQUIRREL!

Have a good night!

Ugh - I’m the same!

That’s three.

Years ago, I was at a University, bad cold, drove to a pharmacy and got Benadryl. Took two tabs and had to stop the car on the way back. Walked into a city park laid down on the grass and slept two hours. No more of that evil drug.

Well, that’s still a better deal than most get! Good taste is hard to find some days.

The man who played in the horror pictures called Leprechaun also did a couple kids movies where he played a helpful leprechaun: A Very Unlucky Leprechaun and The White Pony. Then there is Hallmark’s miniseries The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns. There are two in a series called Leaping Leprechauns. I have a cartoon called Legend of the Leprechaun’s Gold. The Last Leprechaun was good, as was Behind the Waterfall with Gary Burghoff. If you’ll forgive the Scottish in the bunch, Brigadoon is fun. Check out Finian’s Rainbow if you like Fred Astaire. Then there’s a cute film from 1948 called Luck of the Irish.

Then there’s the dancing series headed by Michael Flatley. Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, Gold, and Feet of Flames. Some people consider Flatley egomaniacal. If you don’t like that kind of thing, avoid the biographical Gold.

If you like Irish dancing, there is another movie called Spirit of the Dance which mixes many forms of dancing, not just the fancy footwork.

Rankin and Bass put out a mixed holiday romp about a banshee trying to get leprechaun gold so she can live forever. It could go in either Christmas or St Pat’s. I seem to have lost my copy, so I don’t want to misname it and mislead you.

Look up Cholm Meany: good Irish actor has some interesting films. One I remember, he found a strange seaweed with healing properties.

Check out A Shine of Rainbows, too.

Woah! Feel better soon! Find the source so you don’t have to go through that again!

Good luck. You’ll do fine. At the worst, your caretakers are there to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Yeah. Only 3 days after St Pat’s to watch all those cool bunny movies and pack an Easter basket! Looking forward to Chocolate. Mmmmm.

I always enjoyed putting together furniture. A positive memory from childhood was helping Mom build a bookshelf.

Good day for having nothing to show for it. We often get frustrated with such days just because we put in the work of showing up, but they have good points, too. I’m glad you are safe: driving in fog is no dreamland.

That sounds fun. Enjoy! I thought of you, yesterday, when my driver told me of a birder discovering baby woodpeckers in a nearby tree.

Thanks for the titles! And I love Warwick Davis! He was great as Professor Flitwick, and he was like the main Ewok, too!

That’s The Leprechaun’s Christmas Gold! I liked it, but it is difficult to find

Thanks! I am still itching today, but I’ll be off to the doctor soon. It was either my new body lotion, but I put it on other places and not just my feet, and they’re fine. Or the new ointment I got from the doctor for nerve problems. And I’m still itching after taking a butt load of benadryl.

Thanks, love! I’m sure it’ll be fine, but you worry, you know?

Yeah, it’s been challenging getting recipes out for both holidays at once! LOL!

He’s one of my favorite actors. I enjoy how his eyes sparkle when he enjoys his work. Recently, that faded. I’m hoping it was something temporary. The eye sparkle made it tricky to believe in him as a bad guy in Gulliver’s Travels, but I still enjoyed his work! Did you notice him in the crowd just before Aniken’s podrace? He was also there when Luke met ObiWan Kenobi the first time, though a bit tricky to pick out.

I thought it was something like that. Thanks. It isn’t one of their more popular ones, possibly because of the mixed holidays. Then again, Rankin Bass seem insistent on keeping their work secret as much as possible.

I’m glad we share an interest in movies! :yellow_heart:

Yes, I know. I go through it every year, sometimes more often. I always worry, too. :hugs:
