I spent sunday afternoon at the stone circle next to Lady Danu (Danube), chilling in the sun, doing some crystal gridding and mediation, pulling cards and painting a little…it was super nice weather and I soaked up the sun! :sun: I brought an offering of incense for harmony and peace and some apple and seeds for the local critters to munch on.

It´s so funny, because that place really called me in the morning to come an visit. When I came there I met a young couple, looking for a key they had lost there the night before on a effing RAVE that had happened there. Like wtf? A rave? They told me it was actually happening on a place behind the stone circle, but there were big crowds and people spread all over the place. Of course nobody picked up their trash, so I picked up as much as I could and put it in the bin (which literally is just 20 meters away, but hey, guess you can´t respect nature and a sacred space when you´re partying and drunk).

I understood why the place had called me in, the energies needed to be cleansed and realigned - and this is what I did. The two young people were kind of sideeying me, while I was walking around with my pendulum trying to get a sense of how I could be of help. And I really found it interesting to observe my emotions and how I really don´t care anymore what a stranger might think. I might as well start wearing my witch-hat on a daily basis from now on.

I hope you don’t mind, but I was closing the old MMM and saw this beautiful post had just come in, so I brought it here into the new MMM so folks have a chance to see and comment on it

What a beautiful place! I can see why folks would want to party in such a pretty location (although I’m with you about the trash cans - when they are there and accessible, it’s hard to excuse when folks don’t use them!).

It sounds and looks like you had a lovely time. Your painting is amazing! So many bright and cheerful colors :rainbow: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :artist_palette:

Have a blessed week!

Congratulations to @Moonbeam! Most hearts and posts! Go you!

And congratulations to my fellow W.I.T.C.Hes! @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth, @Feathertip, @georgia, and @Moonbeam! What an awesome welcome wagon we make! Thanks all!

Oh, wow. That’s so lovely sounding. It’s like a water witch’s dream! And I hate it that the rave left garbage, but still. I can see Pan, Dionysus, Aphrodite, and a few other gods hanging out at a rave. All the music, drums, and energy? Not my thing, I’m more into the bookshops with coffee and tea, but I bet someone was hanging about. Not sure which Egyptian and Celtic gods would go to a rave, but I bet Thor and Loki would!

Those pictures are beautiful though! I can see why that river is considered magical!

I have nothing planned for this week. I haven’t got a clue what to do for the weekly challenge either, so I’m going to wait for a catch-up week and try to figure it out. Other than that, I’m not doing anything this week! Which is awesome, since I don’t have a doctor appointment! YAY!

I do worry that I’m in a rut, but if I am, I like my rut. Yeah, I don’t go out, but there’s nothing to do here except go to the movies and bowl. Unless you want to go hiking, which I can’t. I like sitting here and reading. I feel like I should do more, but I don’t know what. There isn’t even anywhere to volunteer at anymore. Even the local animal shelter isn’t doing that right now.

I am going to put up my Beltane decorations here this week, I think. I don’t have much to decorate for the Summer Solstice, but I did get myself a wonderful paperweight for that. It’s orange, and it sort of looks like how I’d imagine the Sun looks out in space. So that’s something at least.

Other than that, it’s business as usual. I hope everyone is having a better week!

Thanks, @BryWisteria for bringing this forward. I might have missed it.

@katharina A lovely post. The pictures and the thoughts are super.

Merry Meet Everyone!

Thank you for the wisdom and care you share! Keep up the good work, and you’ll be in the Hall of Fame in no time!

This has been a busy month for all of us! Yet our new people deserve all the welcoming we can give. I remember feeling more willing to post because everyone had responded to me so nicely. Great job everyone!

Hooray for a week of peace and blessed rest!

You cannot be blamed if there is nothing available. This is simply an enforced rest period, and this too shall change in time.

Happy Birthday all you who are celebrating this week!

Today is cloudy. One more week of cool weather. I’d like to get a few last cleaning chores done before the heat hits on Friday: cleaning the ceiling fan blades, running the distiller, wiping down heater vents, and resealing the patio door to keep out the summer heat and mosquitoes.

I’m very happy with the things I got done this past week! Winter is finally wrapped up and put away. Many things have been simplified without the threat of what used to be usual bronchial issues. Now to keep it that way! :joy:

I have been rather quiet on the forum, this past week due to physical errands and chores. It seems like this has become a first of the month pattern. I’ll be catching up, soon. I’d like to make it so I can keep up with both physical and digital edification, but that doesn’t seem to be as easy as it sounds. Still working on it, though.

Have a great week, everyone!

Welcome to Spells8, lovelies! We’re glad you’re here!

Congrats on the shout-out, @Moonbeam! Thanks for spreading the love and posts!

Wow - congrats to all of my fellow W.I.T.C.Hes - you all rock!

@katharina - Oh, your area is so lovely! Thank you for sharing these gorgeous photos! I love seeing the stone circle in the background. :sparkles: I appreciate people wanting to gather there to have fun, but I’m with you - a little respect for the environment, please?? Not to mention some honor for those who tread before you, right where your feet are? Thank you for being the one to clean and cleanse. :sparkling_heart:

Applause! You go, sister.

See, this is why @BryWisteria rocks so hard - she just always knows the right move around here, and Katharina’s post was too special to miss! You’re a star, Bry! :glowing_star:

Yes!! I love this! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Wonderful to have a week with no appointments! I like my rut, too - because that’s a kinda negative term for being a contented homebody who rejoices when they don’t have to go anywhere and don’t have to do anything. It’s a blessing! :sparkles:

That sounds awesome! Congrats on accomplishing everything, and no health issues - that’s wonderful.

I have a few things going this week. Driving out to my Mom’s place on Thursday, where they hold their annual Mother’s Day Luncheon. In the US, Mother’s Day is this coming Sunday, so the apartment complex prefers holding during the work week. They’re generally very lovely, but it’s also crowded and busy. I would take a pass but my Mom really likes it (aside from her griping along with me that it’s crowded and busy!) so off I go.

I met with my (hopefully) new landscaper last week. This was our second meeting, and her plans were partially good, but partially way off. She somehow thought I liked and wanted more hydrangeas (despite knowing I was asking her to pull out these scraggly old pink ones in the front). I stressed cottage garden vibe again, and then followed up with a text to her over the weekend to mention a few of my favorites that I’d like included. I like a messy, tangled, relaxed kind of look, full of native plants that the local non-human residents will love.

She texted back “Thank you for your input, and hope to have something together by the end of the week.” I’m hoping “Thank you for your input” doesn’t translate into “bugger off!” because then we may not reach a meeting of the minds!

Other than that, just waiting for warmer temps and clear skies so I can plant my Morning Glory seedlings outside. It’s just been too cold at night - hopefully soon!

Wishing everyone a beautiful week!

Welcome to all our new members! We are glad you have joined us and look forward to getting to know you.

Congratulations to @Moonbeam on the double Shout Out! Thank you for sharing your love and wisdom with the coven.

Our house is in a bit of a turmoil this morning as we get ready to hit the road for our trip up to the rental cabin in the countryside of NE Texas. Since it’s self catering, we have to pack carefully and according to lists, as prior experience has shown us that there is always some vital thing we forget.

And the cats certainly know something is happening. They are wandering around, getting under our feet and mewing plaintively - like they aren’t going to get fed for a week! I’ve left notes all over the kitchen for the cat sitter, as the cats all have different diets now and Rusty has supplements too.

I’m taking a few items from my altar with me - my altar cloth, a candle, some moss agate crystals and my Gaia figurine.

Looking forward to some time in nature. I’ll probably check in while we’re away, but there is no wi-fi at the cabin, so I’ll be dependant on cell service.

I’ll be back on Friday - have a great week witches!

A warm welcome to all new witches, wizards, druids, unicorns and other magical beings! I´m glad you´re here and I´m looking forward to getting to know you! :purple_heart:

Congratulations to all of you for being awesome! :purple_heart:

Thank you so so much! I didn´t want to create a new post for it and wasn´t really sure where to put it.

Yes, it is pretty! It is literally on a man made island in the middle of the Danube.

Source: Google maps

Yes, it was really nice to be there and I think, now that summer is coming, I´ll go there more often. It´s just 45 minutes with the subway and then like a 15 minute walk to get there.

You´re so right! Thank you for offering me a different perspective!

There are also some quite interesting myths about that river, like water spirits living there, even a water king and how they interact with humans; a story my father told me was about a fisherman who caught a water nymph (in german we call them “Nixe”; they are like mermaids but will live in rivers only) and fell in love with her beauty. So he wanted to keep her for himself and locked her in a cage. But she started to cover herself with her green hair that kept magically growing faster and longer as every minute passed by. And as he came back to look after her a couple of hours later, the cage was empty, just a huge pile of her long, green hair was left.

As long as you like it, it´s maybe exactly the right place to be for now.

You know if you ever wanted to get crafty…I have a ton of ideas. Just say a word!

Thank you! I appreciate you! :people_hugging:

Right?? I really don´t want to sound like a mean party-pooper! It´s just frustrating because this stone circle is the only place us witches and pagan folk have as a ritual space and gathering space (not that there is much to gather). And even though it is contemporary made and not an ancient relic it still holds energy.

Thank you, love! :purple_heart: I was happy I could help. There was so much plastic laying around; it´s dangerous for the wildlife there and can get blown into the river…

:100: agreed!!

Aaww, this is sweet.

Sounds exciting! :dizzy:

Of course. Isn´t that like one of Murphys Laws? This is why traveling is so stressful for me, I don´t even want to do it anymore.

Enjoy every minute of it, love! :purple_heart:

I´m wishing everyone a happy, blessed and peaceful week! :purple_heart:

@Amethyst @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth @Feathertip @georgia congratulations on your W.I.T.C.H. Awards I am honoured to be included with you all. Thank you for your kindness to me.

@BryWisteria thank you for all your hard work putting together our weekly news letter with upcoming events of interests, activities, creativity. I will be as usual participating in the your :teapot:beautiful Tea Ritual, Fun Friday and other activities.

@katharina I am so glad that @BryWisteria has bumped your post to this week as I was going to reply now I can. Looking at your photos they are serene and sitting there doing your readings must have been even more magical being in nature, air, sound of water. Unfortunately not everyone sees what we see and do not treat it with respect and understand your need to do what you can to help.

@Amethyst I am all for a quiet week they are rare. Wishing you a wonderful week.

@georgia congratulations on all you have achieved with spring cleaning and diy. Lovely job

@Feathertip you do have a busy week sounds like your renovation plans are coming along nicely, please keep me updated. Have a lovely week.

@Greenbriar how lovely, getting things ready and organising animal care before a trip it is hard work, animals sense change and mine are so clingy. Once I lock the door I take three deep breaths and I am set. I would recommend it. Enjoy your vacation, being in nature. Have a blessed trip

I am only in work for 3 days which is wonderful. My husband has a health check on Tuesday and a Podiatrist appointment on Thursday. I will take sometime to look at what I need to do in the gardens.

Wishing you all a blessed week whatever you have planned may they all go smoothly :waning_gibbous_moon::green_heart:

Yeah, but I feel like I should be doing something. I just don’t know what. But I had a nap today on a new bet topper, so that was nice!

I get that. My payday is a loss for me, craft speaking. I gotta make sure that bills are paid and all that. Make my food order. Go to Amazon and find books. Things like that. LOL!

Good luck getting ready for warm weather!

That’s true, and a great way of looking at it! Thank you!

Good luck with that! I get the wanting to avoid crowds. Too bad you can’t take her out for a quiet lunch.

Oh! That sounds so nice! Maybe put it into terms of a butterfly and bee garden? With extras?

I’ve heard that it’s supposed to be cool all May, and then the heat gets turned on for Summer. Joy.

Good luck with that. I’d forget something important or over-pack every time I went somewhere when I was younger.

Have fun! Relax and enjoy nature for me!

You’re welcome! I’m sure Thor was hanging out wherever the beer kegs were! Or the mosh pit. LOL!

That’s an interesting story! I kinda hope she came back and got revenge on the fisherman. I think that was a horror movie I saw once. LOL!

That’s a good thought! Thank you!

 Yeah, that’s a scary thought. Me and crafts? Not happening. I’d end up gluing my fingers to my face or something.

Thanks, dear heart! I hope your week is a good one!

Sounds like a nice end to the week! I hope your garden is in good condition!

That’s an idea. I didn’t exactly say that, or pollinator garden, either - just trying to get her to understand that I’m not going for a sculpted look. Crossing my fingers she’ll take the hint.

Nope - she wants to do the event there. It’s pretty amusing to watch these ladies parade their kids around. For this event, the residents are only allowed one guest, so I think it’s an odd competition to see whose kid dresses up the most and presents well. It’s a hoot to glance around the dining room and see them all sizing us young whippersnappers up!

I know about that (SO too). 'tis the season to build things that require repeated tending.

So sorry I have been MIA. My mom has been in and out of the hospital again, and going through a tough time that has required all of my time and energy. I barely had time to get a jar of water out on the full moon. It has taken a toll on me, and I am slowly recovering, as mom gets better. I have missed you all.

Congratulations @Moonbeam! Thank you for all you do!

Congratulations beautiful witches!!! Y’all are awesome!

@katharina thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures! It looks so peaceful.

@Greenbriar have fun at the cabin!

@shari2 I hope your mom gets better and you get some rest.

Ugh, I have pretty much crashed and burned since last Thursday. Between work, the house, the yard, and my foot, I feel like I haven’t stopped to breathe.

We have new people we’ve been training at work, thank the gods, because I’m tired.

I went to the foot doctor this morning and the bone in my foot is healed. The nerves are inflamed so he gave me a steroid shot. It’s feeling better.

My garden is going nuts. I harvested 2 peppers this morning and a crow left me a pretty black feather. I’ve never had a crow feather before! I did get some pictures of the garden. I will post them in magick gardens later. The plants are outgrowing the weeds so that’s a positive thing.

I missed Beltane and the group ritual, but I may celebrate tonight or tomorrow night. If not, I’m not going to stress about it.

Work schedule is weird this week.

I hope everyone has a beautiful week!

I admire you for your incredible strength and resilience! :purple_heart: Just take care you don´t end up in burn-out, love. I´m saying this with love: “NO” is a spell that draws a magic circle of protection around you!

Yay! Hopefully things soon will get better!

 That´s good news! Now take good care of those nerves and also your fascia, it holds on to all that stress!!

What a wonderful gift! :black_bird:
