Congratulations @Feathertip! Most posts AND most hearts! Way to go!

As most know, it’s Thanksgiving this week in the States. And I just wanted to take a moment to thank @Francisco, @BryWisteria, @MeganB and @Susurrus for making this a wonderful community that has helped me to grow, both as a human and as a witch! I love this community and all of its members, even if we don’t talk much. I hope everyone has a good holiday season!

Okay, onto me! LOL! I have my usual check-in for my leg boo boo today, and then I’m home all week! Which is good, since my last outing gave me a head cold. Urgh. Too many people in one space. Not fun. Not to mention it was cold! Ick.

But I’m mostly over it now. I’m just looking forward to the goodies Sally will be cooking up for me, and undecorating the Thanksgiving stuff so I can put up all my Christmas and Yule stuff! YAY! Lights! Sparkly things! LOL! Plus, I’ll be starting off the Yule season by watching the greatest Christmas movie EVER! The Muppets Christmas Carol!

Whether you’re doing Thanksgiving or not, I hope you have a good week! Enjoy the downtime you have because Yule is upon us!

That’s so kind of you, Amethyst  Thank you for all that you do, from the warm welcomes you give to new members, to fun spells and recipes, and all the love you share - the coven community is blessed to have you here!

Wishing a happy and blessed holiday season to you too :hugs:

Sorry about the cold but I’m glad it’s mostly behind you now! Hood luck at the check-up today and hope you have a lovely week. Enjoy decorating for the holidays, that sounds like fun! :christmas_tree: :candle: :sparkles:

:tada: Congratulations on the double shout out this week! :tada: Thank you @Feathertip for sharing so much of your  and wisdom with the group!

I have to second this sentiment whole heartedly!!! You all have created a wonderfully creative, support and safe space to share and learn with each other! I am also incredibly thankful for you @Francisco @BryWisteria @MeganB and @Susurrus :folded_hands:

Oh no! I’m so sorry, that’s frustrating  Hoping the rest of the crud resolves quickly so you can enjoy the rest of the week and your Christmas decorating after Thanksgiving :turkey:

–
I’m starting on the struggle bus a bit this week. My race on Saturday was a challenge, but I finished. Accepting the fact that it’s harder to recover from things as I get older and trying to ease back into the week with some kitten care today! Ok, maybe that might be chaotic and less ā€œeasingā€ but it will be wonderful to get back to helping now that the feline distemper outbreak is over! :cat:

I’ve got a massage on Wednesday, and two 5k Turkey Fun Runs Thanksgiving morning, Thanksgiving dinner with a friend, and more recovering

Wishing everyone a smooth start to their week!

@Artemisia and @Amethyst - thank you, lovelies for the kind words! :sparkling_heart:

Hear hear! This community still amazes me at how welcoming and full of love it is. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: And like any community, it all starts at the top! I’m so grateful for all of you.

That’s definitely good news! Take extra good care of yourself so you can enjoy your Thanksgiving and all your decorating plans.

:joy: You can’t go wrong with any version of A Christmas Carol! I love the old B&W movies the best. Enjoy!

Good for you! It sounds exhausting but fun!

This, OTOH, does not sound fun - but you know I’ll be cheering you on from the couch.

This sounds more my speed. Relax and enjoy!

Really glad to hear this - thank you for letting us know. :folded_hands:

My plans this week revolve around getting a Thanksgiving dinner together. Picking up a fresh turkey from the market on Wednesday (have to order in advance) and some veggies for roasting. Also baking my favorite cherry pie, always from scratch, though the canned sour cherries make it easier. :face_savoring_food:

This will be the first year that we’re not wanting my mom to drive over. Her apartment is 20 miles away, and though she drives around her local stores with no problems, she’s in her 90s and I hesitate over her making longer trips. It’s supposed to be windy and rainy so why risk it? Thanksgiving will also involve pickup and drop-off for her.

(She also doesn’t know of my evil plan and I’m a little hand-wringy over opening this discussion. Wish me luck - she’s fiercely independent.)

On Sunday, my husband and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. :sparkles: :sparkling_heart: We have snow :snowflake: in the weekend forecast so we’re going to dinner Friday night.

Here’s wishing for a wonderful week for everyone, and a safe and happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate! :turkey:

Congrats soul sister @Feathertip for the most posts and hearts! Amazing job! And once again, welcome and Merry Meet to all our new members! Thank you @BryWisteria for sharing the news of the week!

This week should be a quiet week for me. I just celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday yesterday. I cannot believe how fast the years have gone by! We’re celebrating Thanksgiving at my sister’s house this year so no cooking for me! I’m kind of happy about that. I’ve been pushing myself a little too much lately and my body is telling me it’s still in surgery recovery mode! I’m trying to listen I swear!

I hope everyone has a great week and I’m sending much love and light for a joyous holiday weekend! I am certainly thankful for all of you!

Blessed Be loves! :herb: :dizzy: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Great job, @Feathertip ! Keep up the good work. And thank you!

For these are jolly good people, which nobody can deny!

May it flow smoothly. Find deep healing so it stays healed!

Yay! Good job!

Glad to hear it! Healing to the cats and kudos to their caretakers!

My week ought to be busy cleansing germs. My last outing caused a minor relapse, which means I’m behind for the holiday. I’ll bake on Wednesday- keep fingers out! I’m eager for the season’s first chicken broccoli pot pie!

Relatives had a habit of making lasagne the day they decorated for Christmas. I have individual frozen pans of the good stuff for the day I dig into the tote under my bed. It will be tricky trying to figure out what to do with presents given to me previously by people I still care about, even though I have no use for their collections and less space than before to store stuff I can’t use. I’ll set up a folding table in front of the patio door to support the mini tree. Presents need wrapping, but will fit under the table. Still don’t know what to do for two presents. Seeking stocking stuffers for myself and containers for others’ presents. It would be nice to decorate the living room walls with elemental colors and Christmas ornaments to make the place look like a giant altar, but I just realized I don’t have a south wall! Hmm. Wrapping paper on the cupboards and freezer may work.

I had a momentary gift last time I was out. My driver’s grandson chose to escort me to my door. I was putting away presents when I chanced to turn toward the magickal cabinet. He was standing there, arms folded under his chin, gazing lovingly at my witchcraft treasures on the top shelf. It was a brief photograph without a camera, but it reminded me of children in front of toy stores at Christmas, long ago.

Good luck. I think I can infer. You’ll need all the luck!

Rest and healing to you.

Thank you, my sister!

I’m glad you’re listening to your body - and that you don’t have to cook this year! Take the gift.

What a lovely moment! You may have sparked him towards his own spiritual journey!

I’m sure you can. :face_with_diagonal_mouth: Thanks: I’m not looking forward to it!

Well done @Feathertip! Two week streak!

Of course, thanks to @BryWisteria for doing the Merry Meet so well.

Yeah… straining my back a couple months ago took weeks to recover. When I was young and immortal I would have been good in a few days. But we can’t stop… your schedule this week is impressive.

I’m with you on not liking the crowds we get. Too many people is vexing in many ways. The SO and I pick slow shopping periods (early morning or later in the evening). Shake the cold and enjoy the season!

@Feathertip - your plans are similar to ours for the holidays. We are the old farts but everyone is coming here with plates of goodies.

We all get to watch ourselves more as we go along… I get all wrapped up in something and stay up waayyy too long. Take your rest seriously but relaxing with family can be wonderful and it sounds like your are set for a great holiday.

Oh! We make the Chicken Broccoli and Noodle combo. I love it!

Everyone have a great week!

It’ll be fun! As long as I can find everything. My closet is small and my boxes are many. LOL!

Thanks, love! I’m mostly just coughing up the last of it.

Um, why not a massage after the runs? Because just the thought of all that running and then eating makes my legs and tummy ache! Good luck!

Thanks, love! I’m in for the week, thank goodness! And now that I’m over my cold, my medicine came. Don’t you love the postal system?

I will watch every version of The Christmas Carol there is. Really. Ebbie, Mrs. Scrooge, An American Christmas Carol. Did you know that the show Xena did a ā€˜A Winter Solstice Carol’? Watch that too! I just love streaming so I can find this stuff now!

You sound like you have a lovely Thanksgiving planned! Good luck with your Mom! Surprise her with an early visit and some treats. Maybe that will help. And Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby! 40 years is an accomplishment!

Thank you, dear heart!

Good luck! I hope you feel good enough to get all your baking done!

We had lasagna for Christmas Eve when it was just my mom and me. Yum!

How neat! I’m glad he seemed enchanted by your treasures!

I take it y’all aren’t going to the store any time this entire week,

then?

Thank you, kind sir! I’ve already started listening to Christmas music!

Great picture! Although I know you could probably do without wild turkeys on your road.

Way to go @Feathertip ! Thank you for being such a wonderful, welcoming and helpful member of the coven. And congratulations on the two week streak!

I was pleasantly surprised to see that there will, indeed, be a group ritual on Thursday (Thanksgiving Day in the US), I’ve said many times how much I enjoy them. I shouldn’t be surprised, since this coven has members from all over the world, but I was happy to see it on the MMM post.

What is on the agenda for me this week? Not much, other than eating too much!

I worked with Co-Pilot to create a rather nice Thanksgiving prayer which I will share in another post. I think it will help make the day special for Eric and I.

Oh - and November 29 happens to be my Spells 8 ā€œWitchiversaryā€. It will be one year exactly since I started on my witchy path. It’s been a wonderful journey and I hope to continue on this path for many years to come.

Gosh @Amethyst now I’m going to have to go and find The Muppets Christmas Carol. I haven’t seen that in DECADES and it’s a wonderful movie! Thanks for the reminder.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. Thank you all.

Oh my goodness – I’m glad you were able to finish your run, even though it was a struggle - but TWO runs on Thanksgiving morning? Wow! That’s impressive! Hopefully your Wednesday massage will have you in top condition for the runs and you will enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner while you recover.

@Feathertip I’m sure your mom will appreciate not having to drive all that way, especially if the weather is icky. I hope you all enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving together. And congratulations on your 40th anniversary.

Take care of yourself and don’t overdo things. Wishing you a restful Thanksgiving.

Nah… we’re in the MidWest. There are still slack times. For us, a traffic jamb is 6 cars at a stoplight. The only time it is unbearable is Black Friday. Our daughter used to go out at 3 am on Black Friday and shop for bargains. She no longer does that.

Hello everyone, hope you are all keeping well.

Congratulations @Feathertip

Just popped into say hi, missed everyone. Things have taken a huge left turn for me on the spiritual front as they do.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving :turkey:

Bless :green_heart:

Oh hi lovely, I’ve missed you too! :sparkling_heart: I’ve been rereading your adventures with the Baron, now that I’m at least somewhat more familiar with voodoo, what a ride. It’s funny how these things sometimes come back to us in cycles, and sometimes we’re introduced to something completely new out of the blue. Part of the chaos path I guess :joy: Wouldn’t have it any other way. Lots of love, hope to hear more from you :green_heart:

Awww shucks, look at you all making me blush so early in the morning! Thank you all for the kindness and warm words - you make every day brighter and bring lots of love to this space. I’m sending out virtual hugs like holiday cards - here they come! :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: …

Always wonderful to hear from you, Tracy! Sorry things have taken a turn for you, I hope the road loops around to wherever you’d like to be. Sending warm thoughts your way!

Sounds like this week is keeping many of us busy! To everyone celebrating the holiday, I wish you good luck with the prep work. We’ve already started cleaning here (and I am already tired of it  :witch_broom: ). Let’s hang in there!

Have a blessed week, everyone! :two_hearts:
