Happy December, everyone!

Just a reminder that Weekend Divination is on a holiday hiatus and will return next month. Also, I wanted to give a special shout-out to our divination directors @Artemisia and @dan3 as well as our activity runners @MeganB and @Feathertip - thank you all for hosting such awesome spaces for the coven community!

They’re hosting some amazing areas for practice, spiritual exploration, and fun - if you’ve been teetering on the edge of jumping in, I wholeheartedly recommend giving something new a go!

Have a blessed week :sparkles:

Yay! I love Merry Meet Monday.

Congrats to all the Shout-Out folks and especially @Feathertip for getting the most likes AND most posts for three weeks in a row!

We got our first snow - maybe 4 or 5 inches - and our walks and driveways need clearing. It is too cold for blowers to start so I’m waiting for things to warm up. Ugh…

Everyone have a great week!

Merry Meet and Happy December, everyone! :crescent_moon::sparkles:

I just wanted to extend a heartfelt welcome to all of our new members this week — @vivian, @dee, @crystal7, @elizabeth1, @tempest1, @Zhann, @amanda7, @christy1, @pauline4, @sammi, @kevin, and @caylee! :herb::sparkling_heart:

And a huge congratulations to this week’s superstars — especially @Feathertip for that three-week streak of sharing so much wisdom and love. Your dedication really lights up this space! :sparkles::megaphone::sparkling_heart: Big cheers as well to all the W.I.T.C.H Award recipients for November — thank you for helping so many new members feel welcomed and seen.

I’m preparing a commonplace journal to keep track of all our fun activities and start my shadow work journaling I’ve been putting off for months! I also have doctor’s appointment and a ton of laundry to look forward to this week lol!

Here’s to another week of learning, connection, and shared magic. Blessed Be, everyone! :herb: :dizzy: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

@BryWisteria , @dan3 , @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth - thank you all! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

And a special congrats and thanks to @dan3 and @Artemisia for the special shout-out for being our divination directors! I could never learn as much about Lenormand without this space!

Congrats also to @MeganB for her special shout-out as an activity runner! You do so much for us, Megan, and I thank you for all your work.

Congrats to all my fellow W.I.T.C.H. award winners! :sparkler:

@dan3 - You must have gotten snow from the same storm system that dumped the same amount of snow on us over the weekend! This is when having the electric snow-blower comes in handy. Ours was a heavy, wet snow and the snow-blower works better with the dry, fluffy stuff, but it still did the job.

Suddenly, after an extended beautiful fall, winter has arrived! We’re expecting more snow on and off all week, so time to think about keeping that battery changed. :snowflake: The temperature will barely climb above freezing and the sunshine is only patchy. A very frosty start to the month!

Have fun getting your commonplace journal together, @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth ! It sounds like more fun than the doctor’s appointment and doing all that laundry that’s waiting for you. Good luck!

I’m looking forward to this week’s Full Cold Moon, but may not be able to see it, the way the forecast looks. I hope so - a full moon glowing over snow is a beautiful sight - from inside the warm house. :joy:

I’m keeping my bird feeders stocked with suet and seeds, and also heading out to pour tap-warm water over the ice rink of the birdbath! They can eat snow, but it brings down their body temperatures more than cold water so I like to keep it as fluid as possible out there. :droplet:

I’m looking forward to Yule! I don’t want to forget to do my Cinnamon Spell today (I forgot it last month.)

After the hectic pace of last week, I am looking forward to having not much on tap this week at all. It’s a gift! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Could I ask, sister, what your cinnamon spell is? Cinnamon is one of my favorite spices!

To @Feathertip thank you for all your kindness and support! Last night I got to know my beautiful pathos and found out there actually poisonous to human and animals. They sure are the easiest plant I’ve had. I had to move it this morning so I could give it some sunlight. It’s been in the corner cause I was under the impression that it didn’t need sunlight, but it only needs sunlight for like six hours so yesterday I sprayed my Patho and today I will be fertilizing my pathos if it needs watering. I am recording all of my houseplants and herbs and garden. Paganism has been a major influence in my life.
I’ve been going out taking a lady who was from Findland land on walk in nature she’s a vegetarian! I’m learning a lot about Community! We have been just enjoying the simplicity of life and nature. I feel so blessed for the simple fact I get a clean page in the morning to re write :writing_hand: my story in life. Im goal setting and one of my priorities is to make sure that all of my herbs are organized to look appealing!
I’m looking forward to the cold moon spell and sharing more of my practice! Thank you to all the contributors

@Amethyst, you are a wonderful example of dedication and ritual and thank you for your dedication.
@dan I’m your fan love the serenity!!
@Feathertip thanks  for always giving
@leo great job :clap:t2:
@Mystique you are on a winning streak!!
Winners Winners Winner :1st_place_medal:

What a wonderful start to the week!

Welcome to all the new members, and congratulations to @Feathertip on your three week streak of giving the most hearts and posts. That is amazing!

I’m looking forward to continuing my tarot journey this month and also to doing some daily practice with my new set of runes - thank you @Artemisia and @dan3

The snow that some of you got didn’t make it down to Texas, or at least not the Gulf Coast, but it is significantly colder and wetter than it has been, so that’s enough to make me want to snuggle up by the fireplace!

I have some craft projects planned for Yule. Last year I made a pentagram out of branches from our Vitex tree. Over the summer I attached it to a grapevine wreath and it’s been hanging on the wall as a Pentacle. At Samhain, I attached some artificial fall leaves and blooms and I think for Yule, I will attach some artificial holly leaves and berries and pine sprigs, to decorate it. Changing it out for the seasons/sabbats will be a way to keep it fresh and meaningful all year.

I’ll also be decorating the house next weekend, putting the tree up and adding lots of Yule influences.

@Greenbriar

I’ve been dusting and trying to get ready for the season it’s funny how in the western culture they always say do spring cleaning but for me it’s all you’re around. I feel like I have a good start but I do have intentions to bring the tree down too! I put a beautiful scenery of the fireplace while listening to ambient music.

:tada: :tada::tada: You rock, and roll, all night long! But seriously, you’re amazing. Congratulations on the big shout-outs, and thank you for all that you do here!

Congratulations on the special award for November and thank you for welcoming new members!!!

I am amazed by how much you all put into your posts, the threads you create, and all the time that goes into that. The forum wouldn’t be the same without you three!!!

Let’s see, today I helped take care of shelter kitties in the morning and made French bread from scratch for the Tucson Bean soup I’m making this evening. It’s cold as heck here: yes, I know it’s December, but it was just 65 degrees 2 days ago, and now it’s been barely above freezing for the high!

Tomorrow I’ve got a birding field trip with my local birding group. Last week I met with the Audubon Birding group for a Black Friday Birding instead of shopping and had a great time. They snagged my help on the 20th for the winter fall bird count. I must like them to be willing to drive a minimum of 30 minutes to bird with them

Other than that, I’m working on getting my jewelry ready for holiday sales, working on learning Italian, and slowly getting back into a running routine now that I’ve recovered from my race and turkey fun runs.

It’s going to be much more crazy busy with an upcoming weekend trip for a family wedding and the associated kitties boarding while we’re away.

Thank you, @Jeannie1 !

I love this! Writing about our plant friends, recording their wants and needs, brings us so much closer to them. What you’re doing is wonderful.

I hope your neighbor from Finland is enjoying your nature walks!

Your Father Christmas decoration is great! Love it. :santa_claus:

@Greenbriar - thank you Jayne! Be glad you’re not dealing with our freezing temps and snow - at least it’s chilly enough in Texas to enjoy your fireside. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

This sounds like a great way to keep your pentagram seasonal all year. You’re very creative. I hope you get a chance to take some pictures for us!

 Well…at least until the knees give out!

Thank you for the kind words, lovely.

Your week sounds like it’s going to be a busy one! Mmm, French bread from scratch sounds delicious. There’s nothing like being in the kitchen making something yummy when it’s freezing right outside the window.

Enjoy the winter fall bird count tomorrow! I hope you get high numbers of all our little feathered friends. A weekend trip for a family wedding sounds like a party! Stay safe and have fun!

True - unlike the years we have to crank up the air conditioning so we can have a fire in the fireplace for ambience without dying of heat stroke.

How well I remember turning on the A/C for both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners when we lived in The Woodlands! Having the oven on would just about run us out of the house. :joy:

Hello all! Congratulations, @Feathertip, on the three-week streak! That’s awesome!

And congratulations to all my fellow W.I.T.C.Hes! @dan3, @Feathertip, @georgia, @leo, and @Mystique! Way to welcome the wagon, y’all!

And thank you to everyone who has congratulated me! I love being part of the welcoming committee!

That does not look like fun. Urgh. We’re supposed to get snow and ice tonight. Everyone is going insane like it’s Snowmageddon or something. I hope it warmed up for you okay!

Wow. That sounds so fun! I’ve got laundry, more groceries to buy, and decorating to do.

That’s so nice of you to do! I’m sure your feathered friends appreciate it!

That sounds neat! I think everyone gets to erase a few things and rewrite them once in a while.

Aww, thank you, sweetie! You’re a great friend!

I would love to decorate with fresh greenery, but on top of being allergic to pine, it’s freaking expensive here unless you forage out of your backyard! I hope you’re sharing what your Yule tree looks like!

How lovely! Both the meal and helping out the kitties! Good luck with getting ready for your trip and traveling to your vacation.

Y’all, you need to send me some protection vibes. Or a case of hand sanitizer! There are at least ten people in my building with Covid, the Flu, or some combination of both. Plus, there’s pinkeye and a viral pneumonia. And Covid is the one that hits you in the sinuses and leads to pneumonia, too! Sheesh.

I have to go to the doctor’s office and do some stuff on Wednesday. I wore a mask out today and will again then, plus I have hand sanitizer. Other than that, I am barricading myself in my apartment and will be spraying everyone down with Lysol! I do NOT want to get sick.

To make it worse, some people are running around without masks or doing anything to keep from spreading the germs around. Did we not learn this lesson a few years ago?

Other than that, Sally and I are going to try to get the Thanksgiving stuff up and the Yule stuff put out. Right now, that apartment is a mess. Hopefully, my desk will look better by Thursday at the very least!

Have a good week, folks! Stay safe, warm, and germ-free!

I clip holly from a bush in the back yard, but other than that, my greenery is artificial. I’ll post pics of my tree, and my Yule pentacle when I have got them finished.

Oh my goodness – sending positive protection vibes your way! Stay healthy!

Yikes! That’s a lot of Covid and other icky stuff too close for comfort!

You’re smart to mask up, wash up, and keep the hand sanitizer close by. Once you’re home from the doctor’s office, hunker down. Hopefully it will all pass soon enough.

Enjoy the Yule decorating and getting organized. It’s always a busy time of year even when we’re trying to stay in, isn’t it?

Stay safe, sweetie!

Wow. Real holly! I’ve been drawn to that plant this year, but they don’t even sell bits of it around here! Guess I’ll have to make due with plastic too!

Looking forward to seeing your pics!

Thanks! I even bought a can of Lysol today for my purse! I am shooting any germ that gets close to me!

Yeah, my friend who was here on Thursday has Covid now. It’s making me worried.

Yep. It’s like we’re trying to rush and get all of our holiday stuff done by a deadline or something. I wish we did Twelve Days of Christmas again, we may not rush as much!

Thanks for the good wishes, y’all!
