Yay Bry!

Thanks for your hard work in making these posts!

Last week I said I didn’t have much going on but, of course, that changed the very next day. I found that a belief system that I am eyeballing from afar (Yoruba) really got into Pluralization - an ability to hold more than one truth. To protect their beliefs, the Yoruba embraced different religions that were driving the show (Christian, Judaism, Muslim, etc) and still kept their own religion alive. It is a long and rich story and quite interesting.

This week, I’m exploring the Alleyman Tarot. I got interested when @laura50 and @linda6 started discussing what could be done with several partial Tarot decks.

Congrats to @Feathertip for the most hearts! It really helps to see posts recognized!

Congratulations @dan3 and @Feathertip! Y’all are awesome! Thank you for all you do for the coven!

That does seem to make sense! Happy researching!
I canceled my doctor’s appointment on Friday because it looked like we were gonna get a ton of snow. We didn’t, and I could have gone out, but I’ll be okay. So I am home today and enjoying it! I just hope I haven’t jinxed myself.

I have no big plans this week, other than fasting labs on Friday the 13th. That’ll be fun. It won’t take long, though. I have no plans for Valentine’s Day, other than to watch Princess Bride and Much Ado About Nothing, my favorite two romantic movies.

That’s about all I have planned this week. I hope y’all have a good one!

A worthy goal! Long ago when I was still climbing the ladder, a friend and I saw the movie (separately). We were on an assignment and started talking about it (assignments were boring with moments of total chaos). We started quoting the movie and we both decided it was going to be a classic.

It’s a wonderful movie! Just the right amount of romance for me. If they ever try to reboot it, I say we riot!

Congratulations to our Super-Stars!! :star: :star: :star:

I don´t have much going on this week, except work work work.
Checking in daily for the Tarot card draw will be pretty much the most I´ll be able to do. But, hey, such is life.

Sending out much love to all of you! :hugs:

Good luck and much energy to you, @katharina! Try not to work too hard!

That sounds really interesting! I’m cheering you on in your studies, Dan. Please feel free to share any interesting notes or tidbits as you study - I’d love to learn more! :books: :sparkles:

Excellent movies! Princess Bride is a favorite of mine too. And there’s no better way to spend V-Day than smiling and enjoying something you love! Have fun  :two_hearts:

I’m seconding Amethyst - good luck and don’t overwork yourself! Hope you can catch some breathers and get rest as needed

You’re welcome!

I’d say that not liking Princess Bride is like a sign of a serial killer or sociopath or something.

I turned in my harassment report this morning to HR, so we shall see if I get some relief from crazy lady.

I have a lunch date with @Greenbriar today. We haven’t gotten together since last April. I’m looking forward to it.

Other than that, nothing much happening. I have to go back to work tomorrow, and I’m still hoping around on one foot. It doesn’t seem to be getting better at all.

@Amethyst I love The Princess Bride. I haven’t seen that movie in probably 20 years. I may just have to watch it tonight!

I hope everyone has a beautiful, magickal week!

Congratuatlions on the shout outs :tada: and thank you both for sharing so mucg of your wisdom @dan3 and love @Feathertip :pink_heart:

Another week, another forecast for snow in the south, but I’m hoping this one won’t be as bad. In 18 days, we haven’t had city garbage collected, and USPS has only been by twice. You would think it was apocalyptic around here, but Amazon trucks have managed to not miss any of my neighbor’s deliveries

 Today started at 19 degrees F, and tomorrow’s high is supposed to be 65! I’m looking forward to the sun being out and melting all the snow and ice away… before we get more later this week

This week is another who knows what will happen kind of week, so I’ll roll with as much as I can.

Wishing everyone a productive start to their week! :pink_heart:

Congratulations @dan3 and @Feathertip . Thank you for being such superstars in the forum!

As @Ostara mentioned, she and I have a lunch date today  Looking forward to seeing her again.

Other than that, and another doctor appointment tomorrow, I have nothing planned for this week.

Congrats on the shout-out, @dan3! Your study on Yoruba sounds interesting, mainly their attitudes on Pluralization. Plurality in all its various forms can be a fascinating approach to philosophy and religion(s).

Thank you all for the congrats!

Among the very best! Good choices and what a wonderful way to relax on V-Day!

I didn’t realize we had a Friday the 13th coming up. Good luck getting through your fasting labs, hope it goes quickly for you!

Take it easy and relax when you do get home! Wishing you an easy work week.

Fun!! I hope you two have a wonderful visit today. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Best of luck with this harassment issue at work. I hope it gets resolved quickly. And please, take it easy on that foot! Does anyone have a crutch you could borrow??

This is both the blessing and the curse of living in the South…the snowfall gets everyone and everything into a hopeless snarl in some areas, because they’re just not equipped to handle these kinds of amounts. The good news is that it warms up so much faster than in other areas, it melts off quicker. Just a hassle to wait. Stay safe down there!

Thank you, love! Hope you and @Ostara have a wonderful time at lunch today!

Thank you to everyone for the congrats. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Well… I think I mentioned last week’s agenda for my mom’s 99th birthday: a lunch out at an elegant restored 19th century mansion, followed by a trip to the local planetarium. My big brother had flown in from Colorado to stay for the week.

The lunch was exquisite, we all toasted her with a glass of champagne, and the wait staff brought her a beautiful dessert and candle on a silver platter. She loved it!

After that, the day went straight to hell!

The planetarium visit was a disaster! I had bought tickets online, and selected the 3:30 showing for the planetarium. When we got there it was 3:10, and I went up to the Information desk to find out where the planetarium was located (science museum exhibits were all around). The guy at the desk was immediately apologetic and informed me that I shouldn’t have been sold those 3:30 pm tickets, because the times had been changed, the show started at 3 pm and no late entries were allowed. I was really caught off guard by this - my 99 year old mom was coming up behind me on her walker, and my brother and hubby were parking the car a couple blocks away after dropping us off at the front door.

There was nothing to say about it. We refused the offer of free passes for the next couple of visits, since my brother wouldn’t be here and my mom isn’t always ready for a big trip downtown. Just a full refund, please. Well, he couldn’t do it - and we wasted about 40 minutes standing around while he called a few higher-ups for some tech support. He still couldn’t get it credited.

We ended up leaving without resolution, other than the guy had our names and promised the refund would be issued promptly. We walked (herding my mom along the icy sidewalk) to the nearby museum, where we’ve been before and it’s beautiful in there. (Detroit Institute of Arts) Well, we straggled in from the wind and cold, only to be told they close at 4pm on Tuesdays and it was 5 minutes till closing!

I had no Plan C, so we just piled back into my brother’s rental and drove back to my house, had coffee and a fire, and chatted until it was time to go to dinner. The dinner was at a nearby Italian place, and at least it was wonderful, too. The restaurants saved the day!

So - I’m not making plans for this week. I feel like I’m toting a little cloud over my head!

My trauma/drama aside - I hope everyone else has a wonderful week! Stay safe outside, everyone. :sparkling_heart:

Ouch! There was definitely a cloud over your head. Sorry for your crummy outing. Those were beautiful venues and the day kinda went potty on all of you.

Merry Meet, friends! :crescent_moon::sparkles:

Sending a big thank you and congratulations to our shout-outs this week, @dan3 for sharing so many thoughtful posts, and @Feathertip for generously spreading the love with hearts. Your presence really helps keep this space warm and inviting.

A heartfelt welcome to our newest members — @jack1, @heather4, @dorothy1, @daisy2, @Calypso, @paola, @marina2, @amanda10, @emilia, @jessica12, @shyana, @danielle5, and @marie! We’re so glad you’ve found your way here!

It’s a full and busy week on my end with therapy, errands, and a doctor’s appointment. Valentine’s Day will be a cozy one, a special dinner with my daughter and some brownie-making magic in the kitchen. :chocolate_bar::growing_heart: I’m continuing to focus on my tarot journey book I started and slowly making my way through my Book Club read. Sleep hasn’t been great lately, so I’ve been moving slow and giving myself grace when my motivation runs low.

I’m excited Ostara gets to have a lunch meetup with Greenbriar and Dan gets to explore a new belief system! Sis, I hope mama at least enjoyed her outing even though it was so hectic! I’m sending energetic wind to blow that pesty cloud away!

Wishing everyone a gentle, nourishing week ahead.
Blessed Be. :herb::dizzy:

Crossing my fingers for you! I hope HR was pissed at her. LOL!

I know it’s on Disney+ and you can buy it on Amazon Prime. It’s an awesome movie, and perfect for Valentine’s Day, I think!

Good luck with the doctor’s!

Thanks! I love Much Ado About Nothing. Beatrice is my favorite Shakespeare character!

I’m so sorry that your entire visit was jinxed. That’s awful. I’d be calling that Planetarium and fussing at them!

That sounds awesome! I hope you both have a wonderful time!

Ugh! I’m sorry to hear that! After all the work you had put in arranging a lovely day for your 99 yr old mum, to have it all fall apart must have been especially upsetting. At least the restaurant saved the day!

uh oh………. * she ducks and hides her face * I’ve only ever seen it once and didn’t really get into it…..

I hope your week goes smoothly @Artemisia

Maybe you just need to try it again. I didn’t get Rocky Horror the first time I watched it.
