Apologies for the tardy MMM this morning, we got hit hard by a snowstorm overnight and lost wifi. Just got it back up and running! I hope anyone else who got the storm is doing okay :+1:

May it be a bright and blessed week for everyone!

Congrats on the shout-out, Sis - and your two-week streak! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Welcome to all our new members! :waving_hand:

Happy Monday, all! Here in SE Michigan we’re getting the frigid blast of a Polar vortex, which is a fancy way of saying Arctic air - and it’s cold  here, lovelies! I’m packing my bird feeder with seeds, and added an extra suet feeder. I have a couple of small young shrubs that we’ll cover at night. Whew!

I’m making a pot of soup today and my famous meat-free lasagna tomorrow. :face_savoring_food: Something about these temperatures sends me right into the kitchen.

Other than that, and trying to pick the best day to venture out for errands later this week, I’ve nothing on tap and I’m happy about it!

Wishing everyone a wonderful week!

Congratulations!

Glad to hear you’re safe. Hope your pantry is stocked! Stay warm and healthy, but have some fun with it.

Do you wanna build a snowman?

Or use the snow to build a fortress of protection around you so the boys down the street don’t bomb you with their snowball fight!

I had a young visitor, yesterday. We played Scattergories, Uno, Parcheesi, and Go Fish. It’s been a while since we did this, and I enjoyed it.

Nothing new on the docket for this week.

The shoveling does not spark much joy, I’m afraid, but the snow forts and snowmen do sound like fun! Thanks, Georgia

That sounds like fun too!

Yum, yum! I sure wish we could download food - that sounds delicious! Happy cooking and hope you’re staying warm, Feathertip :two_hearts:

Oh goodness - I overlooked this! Glad everything is up and running again!

And I extend the same hopes to you as well, Bry! :snowman:

Here’s my Vortex Spell:

O frigid blast of a Polar vortex -
         Begone, I say!
I wave my magickal soup spoon at you
and at your friend, the Wind -
and all the other usual suspects!
         Begone!

I’m staying warm in the kitchen, promise! :woman_cook:

Merry Monday Beautiful People,

So sorry about the storms hitting y’all. I was in PA for the blizzard of ā€˜77-’78 so I feel for y’all. Our weather is real crazy here in Vegas. About 2 weeks ago we were 1 degree from the record low (made in 1938) then within 10 days were only 1 degree from the record high.:open_mouth: Lots of people getting sick. The climate is really getting weird. Also, it is becoming so bright here, that even some days, sunglasses are not enough.:smiling_face_with_sunglasses: :open_mouth: Glad you made it okay Bry. I love these weekly posts!!

Congratulations @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth! Two week streak! WHOOT! Go you!

Glad you’re back online! And I hope that everyone who got stormed on is all warm and cozy! It’s gonna be cold here tonight. Thank goodness I don’t have to go out tomorrow!

Gee. Thanks for sharing it with WV!

Hope it thaws out for your errands! Have a good week!

Sounds fun! I’m terrible at games, so I kinda envy you.

I hope you took breaks when you needed to, darling!

Yay! Knock on wood it’ll stay that way!

You’re probably nervous. You’ve got this and I bet you’ll have loads of fun!

Wow, that is crazy! I hope it chooses one way or another and sticks with it.

Y’all, I am almost healed on my leg! Yay! Also, last Friday, after Sally left for the weekend, I found out there’s going to be an apartment inspection first thing Tuesday morning. Right after Sally gets here. I’ve got some dusting left to do in the morning, but that’s about it. Oh, and making my bed. With my weighted blankets. That’ll be fun.

Other than that, I’ve not got much going on this week! I plan to watch John Wick and that’s about it.

Hope everyone has a good week! Keep warm!

Let’s blame some wicked winter prankster.

Congrats on the continuing healing! So happy for you! :sparkles: Good luck with the inspection tomorrow!

This is an exciting time for you. Best of luck with your lesson!

Congratulations on the double shout out :tada: and thank you for sharing so much of your wisdom and love with the group! :pink_heart:

My day has been a blur, up early to help take care of adoptable cats at the shelter, some time trying to meet with someone at a large used car lot to start looking at replacements for the totalled car, 2,5 hours of searching then waiting for the monks to walk past only to find out they had to take a detour, then back home to cook up some homemade wonton soup to warm up. Felt like a lot of running around and waiting without much to show for it.

Tomorrow I’ve been asked to come in to work to say goodbye to an animal, which is always a tough way to spend a morning. Looking at my week, only have a :birthday: dinner scheduled :taco: and trying to find time to locate some trees for my new (and very long-term) project of creating a local magickal tree and shrub compendium. Other than that, I’m trying to get some ducks :duck: in a row before an upcoming birding weekend field trip to the coast at the beginning of February.

Wishing everyone a wonderful and safe start to their week! :white_heart:

My driver and I were discussing the same subject, recently. Even without snow, the light is very bright for no apparent reason.

First day of school jitters. You’ll do fine. I believe in you. Have fun with it!

Wonderful! Now, stay healthy cause we care!

I just got a note on my door. Another inspection for us, too. This time, it’s the city. We’ve had inspections weekly all year, so far. Kinda tired of it, but it is encouraging me to get busy around the physical house rather than simply focusing on digital organizing. Both are doing much better.

I got the feeling that the house spirit hasn’t had this much attention in so long it thinks something is wrong, when weekly cleaning should have been the norm since the day the place was built. I’ve taken to slower cleaning processes, talking to the apartment while I work, and attempts at teaching it the value of cleaning.

No kidding. That does sound tough. :people_hugging: I’m sorry!

Artemisia, Sounds like a lot of ā€œhurry up and waitā€. So sorry about the a.m. That is always tough. Have a wonderful dinner date. Did you make your own wontons?:steaming_bowl: I used to, but too time consuming. My thoughts are with you in the morning. I wake up early here.

Congratulations @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth on your 2 week streak!

I’ve had a crazy week and it’s only Tuesday!

I hope everyone has a beautiful, magical week and stay warm!

Thank you for the warm wishes - we’re out of the storm here (knock on wood!). Some places here in MA got up to 8 inches of snow. That’s a lot of shoveling! :shovel: :snowflake:

Hopefully mother nature gives us a break. I think I’m just about ready for spring

It sounds like a busy week for people with lots happening! I hope anyone dealing with wacky weather is staying cozy and safe, and that everyone’s plans go well.

Have a bright and blessed week!

Happy Tuesday, friends!

January is moving with a lot of energy, and I’m really looking forward to Thoughtful Thursday, Fun Friday, the group ritual, and the group healing session. I’m planning to make some new moon water during the waxing moon and turn my attention toward Imbolc as it approaches, that quiet spark of returning light feels especially welcome right now.

There’s so much on the calendar to savor, too: Aquarius Season and Brew a Potion Day on Feb 1, the Celtic Tree Month of Rowan beginning Jan 21, ƞorrablót on the 23rd, Feriae Sementivae honoring Tellus/Gaia on the 24th, and Saint Dwynwen’s Day on the 25th. It’s a beautiful stretch for intention, reflection, and heart work.

I’m doing my best to keep up with the week’s rune, tarot, oracle, and Lenormand readings (slow and steady), and while my Reading Club book is moving at a snail’s pace, I’m still at it. I’m also prioritizing self-care this week, my depression has been louder than usual, so I’m choosing gentleness and rest where I can. All the negative things happening in the world at large are really getting to me. I took a social media break yesterday so my sincerest apologies for being MIA.

Happy birthday wishes to all our January babies — especially those celebrating this week! :birthday_cake::sparkles: And a warm welcome to our new members: @derecka, @deborah14, @SparkSearching, @elizabeth8, @kelly3, @maya1, @theresa1, @chasity1, @stephanie3, and @lillituu, we’re so glad you’re here. :herb:

Thank you so much for the shout-out and all the congratulations, I’m truly grateful for the love and connection here and honored to share space with you all. On the home front, it’ll be a quiet week with physical therapy on Mondays and Fridays, and I’ve got some new art supplies I’m excited to use as I ease back into drawing, something I have loved to do since I was a child.

Wishing everyone a gentle, grounded week filled with small magic and steady light.
Blessed Be. :herb: :dizzy:
