Welcome to all our new members! We’re so glad you’re with us.

Thank you, @BryWisteria for the special badge! I’m surprised and humbled. Love you all!

I’m looking forward to the upcoming Blue Moon! I am hoping the fine weather holds just long enough for me to get a full fresh jug of water charged - it’s been a challenge these past spring months. I hope to charge new Moon water and do some spell work outside.

Our weather appears to have decided it’s time for Spring - and maybe a hint of early summer! I have lots of fat bulbs on my perennials that are just waiting for some Sun and heat to get them to pop. I think this might be the week!

No plans today - it’s a holiday in the USA today: Memorial Day. It is a rather solemn day as we honor and remember the fallen US soldiers of our military and hold their families in our thoughts.

Beyond today, there seems to be a long day stretch of gorgeous weather - I hope to spend as much time outdoors as I can. Goodbye, all memories of polar vortexes!

We’ve been honored with this little visitor lately:

Bunny says Hi, and the clover is great!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

:tada:: Congratulations @Feathertip for the double shouts out and for the extra special badge!!! :tada: You rock! :purple_heart:

This week is:crossed_fingers:t2: hopefully a little less busy and tiring. Kitten season is in full swing and the first batch of itty bitties are old enough for adoption.

I’ve got a field trip scheduled Thursday and might add my own trip to a popular spot an hour away Wednesday but that one will have up be weather dependent. I’m thrilled meeting beyond words that we’ve had some rain and hope we get more.

Other than that I’m catching up on decluttering, have a massage on Friday and working on balance (rest vs gogogogogogo!)

Wishing everyone a great start to their week !

Congratulations to @Feathertip! You are like, double awesome! A superstar! :dizzy:

And hi new people! Glad to have you here!

Aww! Baby bunny! So cute! Thanks for sharing it!

I want the orange one! Orange cats are so fun! They’re dorks. Silly but smart all at once, a lovely combination. Or maybe that was just my Charlie. He lived 22 years, every bit of them with me. I miss him the most out of all the cats I’ve lost.

I’m not sure what to do for the Blue Moon yet. I’ll have to think about it. I need to redo my wards, but yeah. We’ll see. I have an appointment with the sleep doctor on Wednesday to see what kind of help I need. So that’ll be fun.

I’m thinking of taking down my colorful Spring flowers early and putting up my sunflowers next week. We’ll see.

Have a good week everyone!

@BryWisteria - Yay! Thanks for another Merry Meet!

@Feathertip - Whoot! Well done on the recognition and participation! Loved the bunny. We don’t have many here (too many predators).

@Artemisia - I so wish I wasn’t allergic to cats. We would have a couple. Those kitties are beautiful

I’m kinda random on getting a good night’s sleep. I know how it feels to be sleepless - the day is almost painful to get through. Good luck with your appointment.

We’re enjoying the “Spring results” in our yard (and neighbor’s yards). We started with an amazing infestation of ivy and weeds but got it under control and now the flowers and grass are gorgeous. The SO planted Iris bulbs about a zillion years ago as cover for a poorly placed power and fiber box. They always grew but never bloomed. This year they decided to primp up and show us what they are. It changed the feeling of the yard.

Squirrels are everywhere. I went out the back door to meet a guy who was buying our smoker and a scurry of bushy tails went blasting by me at a smile a second. They didn’t go for the trees but just moved out of the way and watched us.

Deer are also plentiful but are not in a herd (that comes after the young are a month or two old).

Tom Turkeys are strutting and showing their tails. They are huge this year. They love to march up and down our road and attract the babes.

Thanks for the congrats, all!

OMG! This is an easy call - I’ll take all of 'em! Magickal babies, ready to roar! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I hope you get to add your side trip! Fingers crossed for good weather to let it happen.

I think you should get some rest, but the massage is a great place to start! You’re awesome!

I love those orange (I’ve heard them called “ginger” kitties, too!) babies - there’s something special about their orange-y-ness that gives them such personalities. Your Charlie sounds like a wonderful cat. 22 years - congrats on giving him such excellent care and love, my friend! :cat:

blah! Well, best of luck - I hope it goes as well as you need it to. Fingers crossed.

We definitely have warrens around here, though I still can’t put my finger on them - which is exactly the point, right? Clever little guys. They can be flower munchers, but it’s easy to find foliage that they avoid.

Your yard and garden sound great! It’s been a chilly Spring in the Northern states. I’m sure those iris blooms are stunning.

I don’t think I could stand it, having those tom turkeys marching up and down the road. They’re gorgeous! I’d follow them, toss corn, and generally be a silly fan girl. They’d run from me until I calmed down. I’m sure they’ll get their share of female turkey attention!

@Amethyst hoping your get the the help you need at Wednesday’s sleep appointment. I remember you said that Sunflowers are your favourite flower :sunflower: they will bring brighten your week. I with you the orange kitty

@dan3 there seems to be a lot of animal activity going on. I cannot image turkeys going down my road what joy.

It is a short working week only 3 days this week. I don’t have any plans as yet only doing some more touching up on fence panels while the weather holds. B

Wishing everyone a blessed week:waning_crescent_moon::green_heart:

I was smitten with her (yep - an orange tabby girl!) - her name was Buttered Toast, and she was playful, affectionate, loves belly pets, and purrs her head off! Yes, I too like the orange ones a lot (don’t tell Newt lol)

@Feathertip woohoo go sister that’s fabulous congratulations :tada:

It’s a beautiful tradition :green_heart:

@Artemisia they’re sooo cute :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

That sounds wonderful

Same, we have loads, they’re mischievous and fun even if little terrors too

@Moonbeam Have a lovely week :green_heart:

It’s too hot for me, I hate this weather but thankfully it won’t last and the cooler heat will return.

Thanks. I can sleep. I just can’t get enough at the right time. I just got up from a three-hour nap because I didn’t get enough sleep last night! Or it’s not deep enough. I don’t know what’s going on.

Oh wow! So pretty! I wonder why this year though?

They remind me of the football team in my high school!

He was great. He’d wake me up when I was sick and not breathing well, and he’d protect me. There was this guy walking down our street once, and for some reason, Charlie growled at him! Growled! Freaked me out, so I went inside. He was a great cat.

Thanks, love! It’s just talking to the doctor this time. I’ll get my hair glued down later.

Thanks! Yeah, sunflowers are one of my favorites. It’s getting to be that time of year!

Yay! Hope those three days don’t have five days worth of chaos for you!

A GIRL! She’s amazing then, and one of a kind! Buttered Toast is an excellent name, she’ll get snapped up quickly! And I hope Newt isn’t reading this, I don’t want him to be jealous!

Thanks! It’ll be nice until it’s time to decorate for Fall! Not long now!

Merry Meet, Fam! :full_moon::sparkles:

I can’t believe we’re already approaching June. The year feels like it’s moving both impossibly fast and painfully slow at the same time somehow. I’m really looking forward to the Full Blue Moon on May 31st and Creativity Day on May 30th, both feel like perfect reminders to pause, reflect, and make something meaningful from all the chaos swirling around us. :herb::artist_palette:

A warm welcome to our newest members: @lechianna, @ada1, @Tommi, @andrea4, @lora, @Snap, and @louisej. So glad you’ve joined us here in our little corner of magic and mayhem. :purple_heart:

And huge congratulations to sister @Feathertip for sharing the most posts and hearts while rocking a three-week streak! :sparkles: You always bring such warmth and encouragement into the forum!

I’ve honestly been a bit of a hermit lately, tucked away in my own little world at home. Most of my energy has gone toward helping my daughter navigate her new programs and trying to keep myself balanced. I haven’t felt especially social. Chronic pain, bad sleep, fatigue, depression, anxiety… it’s all been kind of feeding into itself lately. I’ve been trying to do some self-therapy in between actual therapy sessions, but 30 minutes every two weeks never feels like enough time to unpack a whole human existence.

@Artemisia: that tabby is absolutely gorgeous. I fully support the future where I become an old cat lady surrounded by tarot decks and suspiciously judgmental felines. :cat::sparkles:
@Amethyst: I’m really hoping the sleep doctor appointment brings some answers and relief. Sleep issues can affect everything. Sending good energy your way. :crescent_moon:
@Dan3: your turkeys look incredibly stately. I’m convinced they know they’re handsome and parade around accordingly for the ladies. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Wishing everyone a gentle week filled with creativity, rest where you can find it, and little sparks of magic tucked into ordinary moments.

Blessed Be! :herb: :dizzy:

Welcome welcome, one and all!

Great job, @Feathertip! Getting ever closer to the Hall of Fame! :sparkling_heart:

Aww! Welcome little one!

Aww! So cute!

Lovely wording! They really are! :green_heart:

Same to you, but more of it! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks, @BryWisteria, for your work. Missed you. Glad you’re back and happy you enjoyed your vacation.

I was on hands and knees, trying to scrub the floor and kitchen cabinets, today after coffee clutch. If this continues, I might finish cleaning a one bedroom apartment in a week.

We finally had some rain, today. Forecasts say monsoon season may be above normal, this year. Thank you, El Nino! Still, I won’t hold my breath. We really need as much as we can get. Even the arroyos are nearly empty, despite the city funneling river water into the arroyos for the farmers.

I started the day organizing my badges- pictures and definitions I keep offline in an autobiographical file. Didn’t get very far, yet. There really are a lot of them! I feel like I did in Brownies, trying to collect all I could. It’s exciting and fun! Not to mention educational and skill building. So grateful!

The week ahead will be focused on cleaning, still. Ever cleaning. It seems like I’m not making much of a dent in what needs to be done, though I’m doing my best. When time flies, I don’t notice how much is really happening.

Over the weekend, there is a free anime convention to which I have been invited. The youth who invited me was concerned about what I’d do at such a convention, as though he thought I’d be bored while he ran off to indulge in hero worship. I’ll treat it like an art museum. I was able to tell him why I value art: people put their time, effort, and a bit of themselves into the work they do. I honor that. When I spoke of bringing his grandmother along for company, she grimaced. :joy: Ok. Maybe not. :joy: I guess that means I need to dress up as my witchy self and have a blast! They are including Harry Potter in the art, so I ought to fit in, whether or not I enter the costume contest. If I enter, I have to have a witchy name and a persona which I share with anyone who comes along. I could offer oracle readings. What would be a good name for me for a day?

Anyway, have a great week, everyone!

I know you’ve had a lot on your plate since the family visit - sounds like things have kicked into overdrive. I’m so sorry it’s got you all tied up like this. You’re a very caring mom, and it’s hard to relax with all this transitional stuff going on. I sure hope you stay mindful of self-care and look out for yourself, Sis. Fingers crossed this stuff starts getting worked out, so it doesn’t take all your energy leaving you so spent. Take care! :people_hugging:

Thank you! You’re a sweet soul - wishing the same for you, tenfold! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Time always seems to move fast for me anymore, unless I am waiting for a package or payday. Then it’s slow!

I’m sorry you’re feeling overwhelmed and under-energized. Is that even a word? Anyhow, sending you good vibes! I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Thanks, love! I just want to quit falling asleep during the day and sleep better at night! This waking up every hour or so is for the birds.

Oh my! That’s can’t be good for you! Here’s to hoping it’s not as bad as that one!

Hee! I always think of badges like Pokémon! Gotta get them all!

Oh wow! Sounds fun! I always got into Inuyasha. That was one of my favorites!

I think Castlevania on Netflix can be described as an anime. Not sure. So that gives you another idea to do with your costume if you like that show.

Wow, there was so much I missed when I posted last night.

@Feathertip your little bunny is cute. Is there just the one of them or is there a family?

@Artemisia ah, kitten season. I couldn’t volunteer at a shelter, I’d be tempted to adopt them all! At one point, we had 13 due to the fact we already had one litter that we couldn’t give away and they were now grown up, and then a stray had kittens in the lot next door and we ended up catching those and bringing them indoors too as the lot was about to be built on. We are down to three now, one of the kittens that were born in the lot next door and two other newer rescues.

@dan wow those turkeys are amazing. Never seen one in the wild before.

@Amethyst good luck with the sleep doctor. Sleepless nights aren’t fun

It looks as though the secret of time is to find a good balance between looking forward to something in order to slow it down and looking back at all we’ve already done to speed it up.

Trivia question: how many people actually had collected all the potential badges before they left? It would have been easier toward the beginning of the list of challenges, but it is still an honor.

Mee, too! At one point, Grandma’s house out in the country had 27 cats, all outdoors. Only Dauby was allowed indoors, and he was the last of the Great Cat Collection. I enjoyed stuffing kittens down my shirt so their faces showed at my neck. So soft! Also enjoyed the massage of kitten claws in my hair. What can I say? I was a strange kid.

Right? I have to keep telling myself he’s got a professional camera lense just because I’ve only seen wild turkeys far in the distance. :joy:

We’ve seen the adults around, but this little guy tends to forage by himself. Usually, the babies appear in twos or threes this time of year. Super cuteness!
