Congrats to @stephanieanne76 for the two week streak! You’re so much fun! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Our upstairs painting project has dragged on a bit longer than we planned - don’t they all? But this week the end is truly in sight, and hopefully there will be no more interruptions. I do love fresh paint on the walls - of all the ways to give your home a facelift, paint is the cheapest thing to do!

It’s hard to move into someone else’s former home and start looking around, taking mental notes about what actions would make it your home. In this case, I’ve been looking at these (IMO) awful floor-to-ceiling drapes for 3 years, and got a bee in my bonnet (or my witch hat! :witch_hat:) last month that those things just had to come down - and they did, along with the very heavy curtain rods that, for some reason, extended about half a foot past the window and were swallowing up the wall. I now have simple white mini-blinds with white sheers over them, window-length, and a thin rod with a spiral sun finial on the end. :sun: This suits me in many ways. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Oh - and we have our first SNOW today! :snowflake: Only about an inch, and it will be gone by this afternoon. A fun little pre-winter zap, that I will no doubt be complaining about by the end of February.

Nothing else going on, really. Wishing everyone a wonderful warm week! :sparkles: :feather:

Oh wow! A two-week streak! Thank you so much, once again, @BryWisteria for the shoutout! I enjoy every moment I’m able to be on here, getting to know everyone and learning new things. Spells8 feels like home to me, and I can’t believe come February, I’ll have been here 4 years! Every single one of you has a piece of my heart and I am honored to consider you family, sisters and brothers of the spirit! I hope everyone has a blessed week ahead! Much love!! :herb: :dizzy: :ocean: :candle:

Thank you beautiful! I’m glad someone gets my quirky, goofy humor lol! I think I’ll try for a 3 peat! Lol!

I have these too! Unfortunately, I cannot get rid of the crazy things because I rent and they belong to the slumlord. I love what you did with yours! Sounds like decor I would do!

I wish I lived somewhere I could experience snow! I love winter wonderlands! The city is so dreary. All we get is rain and even that is often hard to come by!

Congrats @stephanieanne76 for your second week of most posts and recognition of others. Great stuff!

Of course, I have to thank @BryWisteria for her amazing talents and putting so many things together for us.

Our Daughter from Seattle came to us for the week - she does interior decoration - and did most of the work painting our kitchen, dining room and living room. I’m not sure they needed it but the SO was on a redecorating kick and I wisely sat in the corner and watched.

This week is going to be busy - painting several rooms ends up dismantling and moving stuff to make space. Last night we were on ladders changing sunken lights, rehanging pictures, and getting stuff back in place. We are not half done.

In between honey do’s I’m still imagining cards and tweaking the decks I have. I had to create a versioning system - to keep track of changes and not wipe out something I needed to revert to. Here is an example:

Original AI creation for one deck:

evolved to this for another deck (all AI)

Congratulations on the double shout out and two week streak! Thank you for all you do for the forum!

I think painting ranks up there with the least favorite adulting tasks alongside raking leaves. Here’s to that triumphant last push so you can enjoy the fruits of your labors!

A goofy week with SO off Monday and Tuesday for Veterans Day, then he flies out (or tries to with all the travel disruptions) Thursday evening to continue work on his dad’s estate.

I’m reeling from 75-degree weather yesterday and waking up to a day with a high of 44…but that aside, I’m catching up on things with my business and planning on making lasagna bolognese from scratch tonight!

Hope everyone’s week starts off smoothly!

Oh, that tree in the second version is quite menacing or maybe he’s up to no good! Whatever the case, he is majestic!

Such a drastic change! I hope it doesn’t affect you too bad! We’ve had foggy, chilly mornings lately in Southern California and 80-degree days. I’m so ready for the cold to come! Summer is over! Let’s move on lol!

Thank you beautiful and Dan for the congratulations! I love being involved.

Yep. I’m not sure I like it but will use it for a short bit. If it comes up in a reading and is too jarring, I’ll Photoshop the eyes out. Mwahahaha!!!

Have you read Fun Friday? I think we’re soul sisters!:face_with_hand_over_mouth:

You go, girl!

Welcome to my home of the last few weeks. :joy: At least we’re on the downhill side now. Hang in there!

I love this so much!!!

You’re exactly right! And thank you…the end result will be very rewarding.

Oh, yum!!! Have fun in the kitchen! :woman_cook:

Way to go @stephanieanne76 ! Congratulations on your two week streak!

Nothing much happening here. Just two old retired people doing whatever they want (or not, as the case may be).

I’m back in the swing of my daily exercise on the exercise bike after our trip up to the cabin and now, while we have some cooler weather, I’m trying to get out with the rollator and toodle round the block each day.

Havea great week everyone.

Congratulations to @stephanieanne76! A double shout-out! Way to go!

I hope the painting goes well! Good luck with it!

Sounds lovely! And that would let a lot of light into the room!

Probably the best idea you could have. If they want help, believe me, they’ll let you know!

Wow. That’s the kind of weather to make you sick. I hope the Lasagna Bolognese helps keep you warm inside!

You’re a better person than I, my dear! I consider my trips to the doctor as workout sessions! LOL!

It is 26 degrees Fairenheight and snowing lightly here in Southern WV. I was surprised there weren’t a lot of wrecks on the roads this morning on the way to the doctor’s office. There usually is, the first time there’s snow in the area. It must not have been too icy. They’re saving it up for the next time to be idiots.

Nothing big here this week. I’m getting re-certified to have Sally next week, that’s just a simple interview, so that won’t be too bad. I don’t see any bumps along the way there. Other than that, I’m just hanging out and wondering if it’s too early to watch info on Yule on YouTube. I have several videos in my Watch Later playlist. Is it too soon? Probably is, but I’m going to start on one today anyhow! LOL!

Anyhoo, hope you all have a good week! Stay warm if you’re in this cold snap here in the States!

Merrily met
I very much enjoyed reading all your news.
No decorating here, no doctor visits (thankfully) and warm weather is coming. We’ve had so many earth tremors this year that the cracks on the wall are opening up again, no point decorating!
We spent thousands on fixing up the cracks and painting the bedroom a couple of years ago and Mother Nature returned the cracks. The house is 110years old and I think she too likes her wrinkles.
Never too early for Yule @Amethyst !

See, that would freak me out. Where I live in the States, we get mostly flooding, with the occasional forest fire. Some side effects with hurricanes, but not much. No tornadoes, or freaking earthquakes! The thought of having all my crap fall off the shelves, and me along with it all on the floor, is terrifying. You’re a braver person than I!

I’ll probably start tomorrow. LOL!
