This week I have my bone density scan (Google assistant cancelled it instead of confirming it last week :woman_facepalming:t2:), a bird field trip Wednesday and need to work on creating pendants for orders while finalizing my marketing plan for the rest of the year.

Hoping we keep cooler weather but I’m betting we’ll be back to record highs and drought :leafless_tree: conditions. Well I’ll find the green in my garden, the flowers on my walks and the colorful singers :bird: on my trip.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week!

Welcome to all!

Today is errand day for us so we’ll be out and around shopping, banking, etc. I’m on my first coffee - getting a light breakfast and moving out.

Our lawn just realized it was Spring and turned from a struggling green to a glowing green. Kinda weird. It sure looks nice.

Thanks to @BryWisteria for the Weekly News and may you all have a great week!

Welcome to you all!

Congratulations! Thank you for your care and sharing!

The first part of every month is care for the apartment, bills, and my driver. When the money is gone, I get to slow down and focus on my own care until the next payday. Relax on running around and getting as much exercise as possible; continue reorganizing and cleaning my space, whether digitally or physically. I am realizing that multitasking makes the days go faster, so I would like to slow down and focus on one thing at a time. Maybe more gets done while multitasking, and maybe all that happens is I feel more stress. That is up in the air at the moment. For now, I choose to focus on mini steps, one at a time, with the intention of cleaning the whole apartment. It is time to become a cleaning :tornado:.

Thank you, @BryWisteria, for all the work you do in the forum! :purple_heart:

Welcome to all our new members! We’re happy you’ve decided to join us!

Congrats to @Moonbeam for the shout-out - sharing your thoughts and wisdom in all things. You’re a star! :star:

Another reason not to trust AI. Good luck with this! I hope you have good weather for the bird field trip - sounds fun! May there be lots of interesting sightings!

Ugh, it seems too early in the season to be worrying about drought conditions - although I did come across an article over the weekend saying that much of the US, especially the western states, were being impacted already. I’m happy that Michigan recently declared that we’re officially well out of drought. (We only had to suffer through record snowfall this Winter and a super rainy Spring to get here!)

That sounds gorgeous! A nice reward after this past Winter and all the snow!

Agreed! It’s nice to feel like a lot has been accomplished, but when you’re feeling wiped out mentally at the end of the day, you have to wonder if there’s another way. Sounds like you’re on it!

Thank you love! Back atcha! :sparkling_heart:

Much thanks to @BryWisteria for creating this fun and informative space for us every week! It’s hard to believe we’re on April 20th - sabbat right around the corner! Can someone pump the brakes, just a little bit, please? :folded_hands:

Wishing everyone a wonderful week!

Congratulations to @Moonbeam and @Feathertip for being so awesome! Thank you for all the care and love you’ve put into the forum!

And welcome to all the new members! HI! :waving_hand: Hope you like it here!

Good luck with that! I have a feeling I have one of those in my future. I hope it doesn’t get canceled again. I hope your gardening goes well, though! Have fun with it!

Those days are productive even if they don’t feel like. Hope you have lots of coffee!

Good luck with the cleaning and the cleansing! I hope it goes well!

It seems like modern technology has not only made things easier, but has also made time go faster. I swear to gods, before cell phones, the day went slower!

I have a new worker who just started this morning, so yay! She seems nice. She’s out picking up my glasses at Walmart for me. But she’s crafty! I may get her to do some crafty things soon. She turned a flowerpot into a beehive, and I have ideas.

No doctor’s appointments or anything for me this week. I am going to be a bit bad this week, but I’m going to be bad for good!

See, Grumpy Old Crone did a Video, and it’s led me to decide on doing my first real hex! I’m gonna hex the man I call Darth Cheeto. Only I don’t have any stinging nettles or poison ivy to add to the mud I’ll be slinging at him, so if you have any ideas on how to give him an itch, let me know! LOL!

But yeah, other than that, I’m going to be doing my usual, getting recipes ready for next week. It’s busy, what with Beltane, Cinco de Mayo, Star Wars Day, and the Kentucky Derby happening. That’s a weird mix of recipes!

I’ve mostly figured out what I’m doing for Beltane, so I’m ahead of myself there! Yay! But that’s all I’m up to right now.

Hope you all have a good week!

Congratulations to these two wonderful witches for the shout outs! Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and love with your coven.

It’s actually pleasantly cool here this week and we’ve been getting some rain, so the garden is happy and I will be making the most of it before the brutal heat and humidity of summer arrives.

Both my mother and grandmother have/had osteoporosis, and despite being outside a ton and taking vitamin D3 supplementation, my level has been on the low side, so my PC figured it wouldn’t hurt to check early. And as to cancelling, I learned my lesson. I won’t let Google Assistant screen the call when they remind me today

It’s distressing how bad the drought is this year. Here’s an interactive map of the US with drought conditions and historical data. https://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/
My area has been in a severe drought for the past 3 months. Makes me wonder if this is a La Niña

As of mid-April 2026, the weak La Niña that influenced early 2026 is fading, with a 70–80% chance of transition to ENSO-neutral conditions by late spring (April–June) Source

Yep, looks like a weak La Niña developed in December 2025. Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers: this means we’ll all get more rain sooner rather than later!

Merry Meet, coven :crescent_moon::herb::sparkles:

This week carries some really grounded, earthy energy that I’m looking forward to, especially Earth Day on Wednesday. A little tidbit I love: Earth Day began in 1970 and now involves over a billion people worldwide; all focused on protecting and honoring our planet. :globe_showing_europe_africa: It’s a beautiful reminder that even small acts, planting something, reducing waste, stepping outside with intention are powerful forms of everyday magic.

I’m also really looking forward to the group ritual on Thursday, and with the First Quarter Moon on Friday, I’m thinking it’s the perfect time to work a little healing and growth magic, planting intentions and nurturing them forward. :seedling:

Happy Birthday to our April celebrants! :birthday_cake::sparkles:
April 20 @Celestria
April 23 @hannah9
April 24 @Cosmic_Curiosity and @jean1
Wishing you all a magical year ahead!

A warm welcome to all our new members: @stacey7, @kat1, @ida1, @amanda14, @jessica79, @jennifer21, @wanderingcurator, @baph, @shannon12, @ana1, @michael4, @luke, @bradlee, @j114, @dream, @LadyOhno, @caludron, @tina21, and @monica8. So glad you’ve found your way here. :purple_heart:

And big congratulations to this week’s shout-outs! @Moonbeam on a two-week streak for sharing posts, and @Feathertip for spreading all that love with hearts. Thank you both for helping keep this space so vibrant and welcoming. :sparkles:

On the personal side, it’s a bit of a heavy week. I’ve got a mammogram and therapy, still working on getting my BiPAP authorization, and I’m running on about four nights of bad sleep, so I’m definitely feeling that foggy, exhausted energy. I’ll be leaning into gentleness, patience, and small moments of rest where I can.

Wishing everyone a grounded, healing week filled with steady growth and a little extra kindness, especially toward yourselves.

Blessed Be. :herb: :dizzy:

Good idea! I hope it turns out well for you!

Try taking naps. And the part I hated most about the mammogram was having to stand at the machine and stay still. Awful.

Hope everything turns out well for you, too!

Here’s hoping the transition away from that La Niña does bring some rain! That map is depressing.

Fingers crossed. :crossed_fingers: :cloud_with_rain:

Ugh, that’s a lot on your plate even with regular sleep! Agree with @Amethyst - maybe a few catnaps can be worked in? A little here and there might help.

But you’re right, this is a lovely week of blessings! :raising_hands:

It’s always a pleasure! Thank you for the kind message, Feathertip :hugs: :two_hearts:

Right!? How is it almost May, that seems crazy!

I don’t do curses or hexes in my personal practice, but I do love chatting about spell theory  So I’d suggest taking a look at what’s in your pantry. Does it have to have a “stinging” property for the spell to work, or would any type of discomfort suffice? If so, I’d say the spiciest pepper you have in the cabinet ought to do the trick :hot_pepper: Alternatively, you may find some other suggestions in Baneful Herbs :+1:

On another note, congrats on the new worker! I hope you get along wonderfully and have fun crafting together

Thank you for sharing the map, it’s interesting to see. Here’s to hoping we get some more April (and May) showers especially in the areas that need it most  :cloud_with_rain:

Wishing everyone a good week! Good luck to those with appointments, meetings, and other commitments! May it all go well for you

Oh, and happy Earth Day tomorrow! :globe_showing_europe_africa: :sparkles:

Thank you for the idea! Instead of itching, though, I found a nice spell that will cause him chaos! But I may do something again next month when I have everything I need. LOL! The chaos spell just needs red pepper flakes. Although I may add poppy, that causes confusion. Not that this person needs it. :smiling_face_with_horns:

There’s not a good evil laughter emoji. We need one!

Thanks, love! She seems nice! And I’ll just finance her crafting and stay away from any glue guns.

Happy Earth Day!
