Woo hoo - congrats to both of you rock stars! Special  and :sparkler: for @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth for earning your shiny new badge! Congrats Sis! :hugs:

Congrats to all my fellow W.I.T.C.H.E.S! You’re awesome!

Welcome to the forum! We’re so happy you’re with us!

I actually have some fun stuff for this week. Taking my mom (who turned 99 in February!) out to see “Project Hail Mary” tomorrow. We’ll have lunch first and then head to the movie.

She’s not a sci-fi fan like me, but this has been getting good reviews and will probably be just fine. I’ve read the book, and it will likely be more of a buddy-type movie, with less focus on the technical discussions of what they’re facing out in the Universe.

I am meeting with a new landscaper this week. Huzzah! My hubby and I manage the bulk of our front and back yards, but I have some projects in mind and will need a crew. We lost a couple of Emerald arborvitae in an ice storm and they’re over 8 feet tall, dead and brown. :frowning: I’d like them removed and replaced, since there’s a nice line of them and there will be a big hole once removed. That, and some things in the front yard and hopefully, another small tree. I don’t know what’s all out there and would like some input.

In other news close to my heart - I saw my first Cabbage White butterfly yesterday!

Look at the little beauty:

                      Image from Wikimedia Commons

Spring is definitely here when a butterfly shows up in my yard. As most of you know, I’m kinda smitten with my soul-birds (a description I have cheerfully stolen from author Clarissa Pinkola Estes). :butterfly:

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Thank you @BryWisteria for the shout out!

Congratulations @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth for sharing the most love in 3 weeks! Thank you for all you do for us!

Congratulations you beautiful witches for your dedication!

Thank you @Feathertip!

Wow 99 is incredible! Have fun, and tell yoy mom happy belated birthday! :tada:

I have never seen a Cabbage White butterfly before. Gorgeous!

Spending time with the family was awesome yesterday! Seeing my grandkids playing together melted my heart. It reminded me of how beautiful life is!

Hopefully I can get some garden work done, but the foot isn’t happy today.

I hope everyone has a beautiful, magickal week!

Congratulations @Ostara and @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth for the shout outs! You are both rock stars!

And welcome to all our new members! We are happy you have joined us.

Wow! That’s amazing! Hope you enjoy your outing with your lovely mum.

Before i moved over here, Cabbage White butterflies were considered a pest in my dad’s garden - at least their caterpillars were! I’ve never seen one over here though.

Awww I’m glad you were able to spend time with your family.

I hear ya. I’m hoping to get out in the garden and pull some weeds today - if my knees allow it.

First - so cool to have your mom. Second - I loved Hail Mary - not the movie but the book. We tried to get to the movie but no go - it is still sold out. Kinda crazy. I don’t follow Ryan Gosling - not a fan - but the story is sooo compelling. Andy Weir (author) is one of my favorite. I read The Martian two or three times… saw the movie… got the T-shirt… etc.

Congrats to you folks welcoming our newest members.

Whoot!

For those who celebrate Easter - I hope you had a good one. We recognize it (I’m a Chaote so I interact with all belief systems). Our extended family had a lot of sick people so we decided to all stay at home. There is a bug going around. The SO fixed a small but nice dinner - honey ham, potato salad, deviled eggs and a key lime cup. Not sure that was balanced at all but I had seconds!

This week is prep for tax day (15th) for us (US) but the tax preparation is very simple now. Still a pain.

Thanks to @BryWisteria for doing this section. Very nice!

Congratulations to @Ostara and @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth for being so darn awesome! And an extra virtual cookie to @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth for their special badge!

And big hugs to all my fellow W.I.T.C.Hes! Y’all are great! Thank you, @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth, @Feathertip, @georgia, @leilani1, and @Moonbeam! And a big thank you to whoever thanked me!

@Feathertip, I hope you and your Mom have fun at the movies. I’ve heard this one is really good. And yay for the new landscaper! And what an odd-looking butterfly! I would have thought it a moth, if I didn’t know better.

That’s great, Ostara! I’m glad you had time for family. Have fun gardening!

Hope your knees are kind to you!

Sounds like a good dinner to me!

I’m waiting on the phone while typing. I should not do that. LOL!

I have nothing big planned for this week, other than switching out Ostara for Beltane decor. I have a mini-Maypole now for my desk, but despite buying it from Etsy, it wasn’t as nice as I thought it would be. I may end up making my own next year. This is a disaster with a glue gun waiting to happen.

I had no visit to the Wound Care doctor today. I am healing well! Thank goodness! I may even be discharged next Monday again.

I finally watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I didn’t like the books, so I never watched the movies. I liked them, though, so that was fun.

I have no magical plans for the week yet. Nothing big on the horizon, except the new challenge this week and the Group Ritual on Thursday. I’m undecided about what book to read next. I have so many choices!

Hope everyone has a good week!

@Ostara thank you for sharing your wisdom! :purple_heart: Reading your posts is always a delight! :purple_heart:

Congratulations to all W.I.T.C.H.es for helping our new members feel welcome and appreciated. You´re awesome! :purple_heart:

I can´t believe it´s the last quarter of the Moon already…like…wasn´t the full moon just a few days ago…? I´m flabbergasted.

My week is full of work and appointments, including a dentist appointment. So, not very interesting all in all, BUT I´m going to find ways to make my days more magical. :dizzy:

Sending much love to all of you lovely witches! :purple_heart:

:tada: Congratulations on the shoutouts :tada: and thank you @Ostara for sharing so much of your wisdom, and to @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth for sharing so much of your love and :tada: congratulations on the three-week streak and special badge :tada:

Today started with a routine exam for bloodwork, the grocery shopping, and taking the rest of the day easy. I haven’t had a migraine in years and am on my fourth in as many days. No clue what’s triggering the,m but my brain feels like jello today  No important decisions, maybe a little bit of gardening, a nap ,and a walk after shishkabobs for dinner.

Crazy the difference in the photos -the first one is from three days ago. Second is today, after rain yesterday.

Wishing everyone a wonderful start to their week!

I’ll do that, thank you love!

So happy it all went well with the grandkids and having the family time! Sounds like a beautiful day.

I hope the foot gets happier as the week goes on!

Hahaha! Not surprising, I suppose - they’re the first to arrive and the last to leave every season, so they have a much longer chance to lay eggs and have hungry cats munching on everything. I’ve not seen the caterpillars - that I’m aware of.

I enjoyed the book, not as much as I loved The Martian but it was still a good sci-fi read. Did NOT get the T-shirt but I liked both the book and movie. I expect this movie to make sure it hits the right notes for general audiences.

Dinner sounds like it was fantastic. Here’s hoping your tax prep goes by quickly with zero surprises!

Thanks love! I’m looking forward to this film!

Yes, these butterflies do look like moths - I’ve looked them up to make certain of their assignment - and they arrive so early in chilly Spring, too. They seem to be able to take a lot!

 I’m sure you could finagle together a Maypole next year, but have fun with this one from Etsy! It’s hard to buy online sometimes; can’t always trust the pics.

I liked Lord of the Rings on screen better than reading it - I found parts of it a bit of a slog, frankly. Not The Hobbit - that’s a fun read and I didn’t care if I never saw the movie or not.

Fingers crossed for you!!

It was!! Sounds like April is on target to speed by us all just like March did.

I know you will - you’re gifted in that regard! :sparkling_heart: Hope your week is lovely!

Oh, I’m so sorry! Migraines are no fun at all!! Maybe your labs will point to something that you can adjust fairly easily. In the meantime - maybe a nice nap this afternoon? Take care, sweetie!

So beautiful and lush! It’s amazing what a little rain can do overnight, isn’t it? Spring has Sprung! :sunflower:

Merry Meet, friends! :crescent_moon::sparkles:

There’s a steady rhythm to this week that I’m really looking forward to, the group ritual on April 9th, flowing into the last quarter moon on the 10th, and of course a little lighthearted magic with Fun Friday. :herb::sparkles: We’ve also got some fun energies sprinkled in with All is Ours Day, Unicorn Day (yes please :unicorn:), and World Homeopathy Day.

A warm welcome to our new members — @sabrina, @jessica78, @crystal14, @amy9, @Pablo, @shrine, @dasmine, @kristina1, @SuckOnMySunshine, and @kimberly6. So glad you’ve joined us! :purple_heart:

Big congratulations to @Ostara for sharing the most posts this week, thank you for all the energy you bring to the space! And… wow :face_holding_back_tears: a huge heartfelt thank you to the coven for the shout-out, the three-week streak, and the special badge. I’m incredibly grateful. Thank you @BryWisteria and all of you who took a moment to congratulate me, it truly means more than I can put into words. :purple_heart::sparkles:

Also, I’m so honored to be included in the W.I.T.C.H Award for March 2026 alongside such wonderful souls — @Amethyst, @Feathertip, @georgia, @leilani1, and @Moonbeam. It’s such a joy to help welcome others into this space!

A few little heart :sparkling_heart: notes from around the coven:
@Feathertip: seeing your first Cabbage White butterfly sounds like such a sweet sign of the season turning :butterfly: and I hope you and your mom have the most beautiful day together tomorrow. 99 years and a movie date? That’s magic right there!
@Ostara: take your time with that garden and give that foot the rest it’s asking for. Your oracle reading already told you :herb:
@Amethyst: I’m so, so happy to hear you’re healing well! That’s such wonderful news, and I’ll be holding that hope for your discharge next Monday. :purple_heart:
@Artemisia: I’m so sorry your head has been hurting like that. Sending you gentle, soothing energy and hoping relief comes soon. :herb:

On my end, it’s a simple week: therapy and grocery shopping. Keeping things grounded and manageable feels like the right kind of magic right now.

Wishing everyone a gentle, supported week filled with small joys and steady healing!
Blessed Be! :herb: :dizzy:

And wow, those pics are wild! I just looked out my window, and I can see a bit of green on the bushes out there! YAY!

Yeah, plus my sense of size is messed up. Unless I buy a ruler, I have a hard time figuring out how big or small some things are. And yeah, not making a crack there.

That’s how I was. I just got tired of traveling sometime after the Balrog. I signed up for adventure, not to talk about what the mountains look like.

Thanks, love!

Thank you, sweets! I’m hoping it’ll happen!

Both of those are terrible at times. Even online. Good luck!

I had a video call with my pulmonologist today, following up on my first three months on the ASV machine for my complex sleep apnea.

It’s working great, in that I am averaging less that one apnea event per hour through the night - last night it was zero - but I mentioned to him that sometimes the machine was sending so much pressure through that I woke up and had to hold the mask to my face or air would leak out the sides. So he’s going to lower the maximum pressure and see if that still helps control apnea events, without blowing the mask off my face. We’ll see how it goes.

Congratulations everyone!

Just a note, I take my name out of the list so I can congratulate everyone else. It was funny to see how many copied my list last month instead of Bry’s. :purple_heart:

I almost didn’t make it to this list, this month due to a computer error.

Welcome! I’m excited to hear from y’all and get to know you better.

How long might it take to grow them to match the others? I was often wondering about such “fencing.” Grandma’s house had box elders until they all disappeared all of a sudden. Live fences and manicured gardens look great, but I’d be upset to lose healthy lives just because of the patchiness when there are problems.

Rumor has it that anything the cabbage butterfly eats is edible by humans. I saw one land in a bush, so I tried a leaf. It didn’t taste all that good, but I didn’t die, so I guess it worked for me. I wouldn’t suggest it, though. :joy:

Yay! :tada::confetti_ball:

Hey, if you have access and inclination, go ahead and measure away! Just be aware that some may get upset at any comments or “funny” looks.

Thanks for the heads-up. I’m ready for the danger of illness to be over!

That would be my deal breaker. In a good wind, I stop breathing, so that would cause me more apnea events, not fewer.

I found out Creatine was causing leg cramps, so I had to stop taking it. At least I gave it a good three week try. No change in my circadian rhythm due to the Creatine intake.

Found out that a heavy meat diet may be what caused restless leg syndrome in my mother. Maybe I can avoid that.

Also found out that sitting in a low chair so that putting my feet flat on the floor is uncomfortable is not healthy for my legs. I will be getting a new to me sectional tomorrow, which may help. Meanwhile, I’m cleaning in preparation for the movers. :broom: The Christian run thrift store was open on Good Friday! :exploding_head: And they sold me the chair for only $1 with a hefty delivery fee, but no fee for removal of the old. :tada: It’s worth it for me.

I was hoping to go on a unicorn quest for Unicorn Day. That may not be financially feasible, this year, though I rarely buy unicorns I find in thrift stores right now. A unicorn quest would be more of a chance to get some extra exercise.

I do have two local friends with birthdays, this month. One asked for an escort for her birthday. I don’t think I can trust her with my driver’s grandson!

I didn’t realize that RLS could be caused by a heavy meat diet. We certainly eat plenty of meat so I wonder if that’s why I get it? I have found that the triple magnesium spray by NoCrapInIt helps keep mine under control.

Yay, I hope it’s comfy for you.

Thank you @Greenbriar, @dan3, @Amethyst, @Moonbeam, @katharina, @Artemisia, @Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth, and @georgia!

@Greenbriar I hope your knees are cooperating better then this foot! I did manage to harvest a ton of rosemary off of one bush, I made 3 big herb bundles and 2 huge smudge sticks. I will do the other one later this week. Let me know if you need any. I’m going to trim some cuttings off of my gardenia and see if it will root for you. Fingers crossed!

@Amethyst I’m so happy you are healing well and I’m looking forward to seeing your Maypole!

@Artemisia everything turned green so fast! I love seeing your pictures.

@Eira_of_the_Living_Hearth I will try to stay off the foot. I go back to work tonight so the garden work will have to wait!

@georgia you are braver then me putting your trust in a butterfly! I have this weed growing on my fence line called Poke. It gets red berries on it that the birds eat. I almost tried it once. My thinking was if the birds eat it, it’s not poison right? Wrong, my neighbor noticed it and called me about it. People used to eat it during the depression when there was no food. The thing is you have to prepare it a certain way to get rid of the poison. You have to boil it 3 times, or something like that. My neighbor got upset with me because I told her if she cooks it, I’m not eating it! I manage to break my foot just walking on it. I’m not going to test the Universe by eating a poison plant on purpose!

Yeah, it’s been a LONG time since I tried to read them too. I agree, they were just too depressing. Frodo out angsted Harry Potter by a mile! And that’s just in the movie. I’d had to have read it in the book.

Good idea! I always had problems catching my breath, and they had me on the lowest setting. It always felt like I had my head out the car window, trying to breathe.

Oh, in RL, when I’m around a friend, I have a very low filter. And there are some things I say that Sally is embarrassed for me to say. I’m hoping to get up to Betty White’s level of awesomeness, but that takes time.

Huh. That makes sense, I guess. More protein going to your legs and all.

Good luck with the movers!

Thanks, love! I’ll get a picture of it for the Group Ritual on Thursday.

Awesome! I have a stick that I found a few years ago and put it away for safe keeping. Where? It’s around here somewhere. I was going to use it to make a wand, but it would make a good Maypole. It’s perfectly straight. If I can find it before Beltane I will try to make one.

I found it in the first place I looked. It’s not as straight as I remember, but it will work!

That’s a nice stick! Who cares if it’s a bit bent? It’ll do the job.
