**Challenge Entry**

At this time of year, I usually dial back on my remedy intake to ensure my remedies work when I need them at other times of the year. Taking a break allows the body to clear itself and return to a sensitive state (so I don’t have to increase vitamin C intake beyond 1000mg for it to work in my system next fall).

That said, I am attempting other things for other reasons.

I’m learning about flower essences. Started with mugwort out of curiosity. Four drops of tincture under the tongue just before bedtime. Yes, it increases the likelihood of remembering my dreams when I take it. However, my dreams have been mostly rehash of daytime activities, so I’m not missing much.

The second tincture I decided to try was Scotch Broom. I enjoy the scent of the bush so much that I thought I’d have that nearby. Nope. These tinctures are not the same as essential oils. We cannot use them as perfumes in a pinch. However, I did find out that Scotch Broom flower essence is for improving spiritual outlook. I could use that! Early on, it seemed to make a mild difference. Now that I’ve been using it a little while, the effect is less pronounced.

I have had IBS-C ever since I was in kindergarten. Most of the time, a restricted diet helps enough that I don’t notice much. Now that I am croning, I am noticing my body becoming more sensitive. This is not good in that it can get painful, so I have been researching ways to return my body to a processing plant. I have limited the starches which my body can no longer process, though it is impossible to cut them out entirely. Since this sensitivity intensified soon after an illness, I have increased yogurt intake, begun probiotics and psyllium husk to feed the wee beasties. It is working, though slowly.

@georgia sorry to hear your ibs is getting worse as you are getting older. I never had any issues until the past few years. Now 64. It started with lactose intolerance but has worked its way up to dairy intolerance. I also have other intolerances but have not identified those as yet. You may want to look at your lactose and dairy intake. As we get older our bodies are unable to tolerate things like lactose and dairy much less.
Best of luck :folded_hands:

I had shared this before, but I am still using it. I won’t post the entire post that I made, but only the particulars here again. I also reached out to a friend I know that makes resin pendants for talisman’s for anyone that wants to purchase them (I don’t have it yet: because I sent her my own ingredients to make it, and while she has shipped it, it’s not here, but here’s the rest of the magical story).

I was feeling very depressed and rejected in my job. I have to be vague: but I deal with the public and our local facebook forum is very unfriendly to our profession. I wanted a way to reconnect with my customers, and also find joy again in my job. As some of you know, @SilverBear helped me with this and I carry the spell jar daily to help me focus and retain the joy I used to have in my job. (I really hope this fits here, in this category: I kind of feel like it’s cheating because I posted it before and a lot of the work is hers, so maybe it should be her challenge entry as well) :joy:

A Joy & Friendship Spell Jar feels absolutely perfect for this. I would build it not as a spell to change others, but as a gentle working to soften your own spirit, clear emotional residue, and call back the warmth and connection you once felt so naturally.

Here’s a simple version

:sparkles: Joy & Friendship Spell Jar :sparkles:

Fill your jar slowly and intentionally, speaking gratitude into each ingredient.

• Pink salt — for emotional cleansing and softening resentment

• Chamomile — to soothe stress and restore peace

• Lavender — for calm interactions and emotional balance

• Rose petals — to reopen the heart gently

• Cinnamon — to spark joy and warmth

• Sugar — to sweeten communication and daily encounters

• Orange peel — for happiness, optimism, and renewed energy

• Clear quartz or citrine — to amplify light, positivity, and joyful connection

(I used both citrine and clear quartz, as clear quarts amplifies all other spell work)

(I added dried african violet flower to soften tempers and diffuse conflict and lily of the valley for return to happiness)

On a small piece of paper, write: “I release bitterness from my spirit. I allow joy, kindness, and connection to return to me. May my path be filled with friendly energy, warm hearts, and meaningful moments.”

Seal the jar with a pink or yellow candle if desired, and hold it in your hands for a few quiet breaths each morning before work. (I actually have the spell jar in my car and it’s hidden except for while I work. I can see it, it reminds me that it’s there and the magic is there for me as well). FYI: IT FEELS AMAZING!

So that it my challenge entry.

Oh, yeah. That went out the window in 2013, when I realized I couldn’t handle vitamin A. Thanks for the heads-up, though. I still eat what little cheese I can handle which isn’t tainted with sulphur as a preservative- that means it isn’t real cheese. If dairy is all you have to work around, you’re doing great! I know, we elders miss it because of increasing calcium needs for the health of our bones. Maintaining a balance is tricky.

As most of you know, I’m working as a CNA (certified nurse assistant) while I go through nursing school. I currently work at a local nursing home that works with skilled rehab patients, memory care patients, and long-term care residents. While I don’t work magic during my shifts, one thing I carry with me is my prayer beads for Brigid that were given to me by my cousin. They stay in my pocket while I work as a physical reminder of my purpose there :fire:

It’s been a while since I’ve been on. I am now a support worker and support young adults with autism and ADHD. I find this type of job should have been something I done a very long time ago. It reminds me how lucky Im able to guide and support people and make a difference in their lives. Every morning before my shift I love to have a cup of coffee and mediate and heal my energy.

I decided to write a spell to help me ground my self and resonate healing energy to those I work with as well as myself. Since there is many challenges I face on a daily basis. Since doing meditations in the morning I have found I am more relaxed and I have noticed the young adults are progressing in many ways. Below is my healing spell. Feel free to use.

On this earth is where I stand

Burying my roots deep within this land

Restore my energy from dark to light

Give me your strength as we unite.

I call upon the element Earth

To ground me, protect me

and send healing energy

So it is now so mote it be.

I couldn’t believe it! For 7 years i have been making a healing salve (we call it “stuff” cuz its worked for everything) Well, imagine my surprise when i found out it was the Magical Healing Salve.

So, i grabbed my last tin (time to make another batch soon) and said the blessing and added the blessing for when we use it to the lid.

I knee that 7 years ago that it was special, now I see why! (Sorry if the picture doesn’t load, having technical difficulties this morning)

This is a small entry I may add too it later on. If I don’t do it now while Im thinking about it its likely to not get done :face_with_tongue: anywho… I recently got 2 small Tibetan singing bowls. Each morning I sit down and play with them for just a few minutes. It helps my day so much. My mood is more stable and I seem to have more energy. I stared out listening/watching videos on youtube and loved them so much. I decided to get a small inexpensive one to start. There is such a difference between listening to recordings and being able to experience one right next to you (at least for me) :sun_with_face:

Thank you to all that have shared an entry!

Blessing to all :green_heart:

Scintillating Saturday Sorcerers,

Challenge Entry

Love the entries!!:two_hearts: I stayed away from this one, thinking I did not have any healing magick. After reading, I realize otherwise.

I made my first spell jar this week and carry it with me.

Exactly!!!

They are so beautiful! This gave me an idea, thank-you.

I love this spell. I write my own, rhyming too, and keep them in my BOS. May I add this too?

Awesome, you were doing it and did not realize it. I love the chant you put on it!

Well, with head hanging low, because I had written this before.

I have been making sun and moon water, now, since October 2024. I drink it daily, make it daily, except for eclipses. I told no-one what I was doing (although here at home, they saw me putting jars of water on the windowsill, no one ever asked). About 6 months later I had several people tell me that I was looking much better. The doctor thought it was vitamins, but I had stopped taking those a long time ago. Let everyone think what they want, but it is my sun and moon water that I bless, make, and drink every day.

So, I guess this is my “Healing Magick”.

Make the weekend great, all who do create,:musical_notes:

Challenge Entry - Healing Magic - Three Knot Burning Spell

**I have enjoyed reading all the entries so far. **

My Husband suffers from Spondylitis in his Neck, Osteoarthritis, Lower Back Pain (we think it could be disk related) severe weakness in his feet and chronic inflammation. He is under treatment at the moment for his back and feet, he is still working full time, keeping mobile which is a blessing.

Seeng him in constant pain and not get a restful sleep which adds to him being fatigued is heartbreaking.

I have tried freezing his pain, binding his pain, candle healing magic, healing spell bottle and have added a deep & restorative sleep bag together with a Svefnthorn Protection and Sleep Amulet his pillowcase and in our bedroom we a little altar details of which are under my Challenge Entry -Dream Weaver :trophy: WITCH CHALLENGE ~ Catch-Up! [Challenge #250]

Knot Magic is rooted in at least 4000 years of history. It is a way to focus our thoughts and energy to bring it into being.

I have written a spell to burn his pain with a Three Knott Burning Spell and placed my Freezing Spell Bottle, Binding Iron & Copper Nail, Crystals (Clear Quartz the Master Healer, Carnelian, Malachite, Amethyst) Bind Rune, Acorn for Strength, Selenite Bowl with Sun Water, Hag Stone outside so that I could re-energise them and called the quarters and Watchtowers to bring in all the Elements especially the wind to cast my spell.

Items you Need

:dotted_six_pointed_star:Salt is used to clear unwanted energy and for protection. I used a teaspoon of Himalayan Pink Salt and added it to half a cup of Sun Water and left in the sun to dissolve.

:dotted_six_pointed_star: Then sprinkle your space were you are to perform your spell and also sprinkle the cord (it is best to use a natural white/cream cotton length of cord) and whilst sprinkling say

“With this water I wash you,
With this salt I cleanse you,
All negative energy now be gone,
Let there be only good energy from now on,
As I wish So Mote It Be”

:dotted_six_pointed_star: 1 White & 1 Black Candle (I had run out of black so I used Blue)

Three Knot Burning Spell as you tie each Knot say

“Wrap (either yourself or who you want to do this spell for) in Protection,
Heal (Ditto) with Love,
As I tie, I call all the energies from above and below,

“Life is precious,
Health is Devine,
Illness and injury now caught in twine”

“Ties bind illness,
Knots capture pain,
With this spell make (Ditto) well again,
As I wish So Mote It Be”

Then burn your cord safely whilst saying this Affirmation

“Illness and Pain never to return again,
As I wish So Mote It Be”

Let your candles burned down to complete the spell.

Blessed Healing :dotted_six_pointed_star::fire::mending_heart:

Challenge Entry-Healing Magick

Well, this feels like a good place to post for the first time and say hello!

I work with energy. If I’m healing something for myself, I enter a light meditative state and take a look at myself from outside my body. I’m familiar with how I look in health and when I’m not in health so I just see what’s what. After I’ve identified the area, I just concentrate on bringing MORE energy to that spot to help balance it back out.

If I know of an area on my body that is hurt or needs attention, I do the same thing, only maybe adding touch.

For others, I can only really work on what they know hurts. I concentrate, again, on bringing energy to that area. I try to call on their energy and universal energy to bring balance back because I like to see if it’s chronic or a one-time thing. Once I know that, I just move energy around and sometimes add touch.

I love to work on my husband while he’s sleeping. It’s much easier for me to see his aura at night and when he’s not actively trying to do whatever it is he’s doing to make it harder during the day

Hello my lovely witches! Thank you @BryWisteria for another interesting and creative Witch Challenge! :purple_heart: :sparkles:

Challenge Entry

Lately I´m into working with my pendulum a lot! This beautiful Thoth Pendulum is made from ebony and part of my practice since many years.

Origins of the Thoth Pendulum
The Thoth pendulum has its roots in the spiritual tradition of ancient Egypt—a civilization in which knowledge of energies, forms, and vibrations played a central role. It is associated with Thoth, a significant deity in the Egyptian pantheon and the god of wisdom, knowledge, writing, and sacred sciences.

Thoth was regarded as the guardian of universal laws—the one who understood the invisible order of the world. The pendulum bearing his name aligns with this concept: it is a tool that enables the invisible to be translated into understandable answers through precise forms and symbolic proportions.

Although the Thoth pendulum as we know it today is a modern reinterpretation, its design is directly inspired by the sacred geometric principles employed in Egyptian temples, where it was believed that every form amplified, channeled, or directed energy.

The power of the Thoth pendulum lies in its sacred geometry. Each element of its structure has a specific function:

The cylindrical sections symbolize levels of consciousness.

The grooves facilitate energy flow and modulation.

The lower tip acts as a directional transmitter.

The spherical head serves as both a receiver and an amplifier.

The Thoth pendulum is considered an active pendulum capable not only of receiving information but also of influencing an energy field. This fundamentally distinguishes it from intuitive or emotional pendulums.
Source: https://www.tibetwelt.com

I like to utilize this very quality—the ability to influence energy fields—in my practice, particularly to cleanse and balance the chakras and restore their harmonious flow.
Moreover, it is a very low-effort form of energy work, as the pendulum does the bulk of the work.
To cleanse and harmonize the chakras, I have the person lie comfortably on a yoga mat or similar surface and slowly move the pendulum—positioned about 20 to 30 cm above the body—from their feet up to their head. While I do this, the person can relax and listen to music; I like to select healing frequencies or music specifically designed for the chakras.
If the person cannot be present in the room, I can also perform this work as a remote healing session, using either a photograph of the person or—my preferred method—a small cloth doll representing them. I then place tiny healing stones on the doll for the duration of the session.
Of course, this is something that should be repeated regularly, like any form of energy work. It is also ideal preparation for a Reiki session!
