šŸ› Weekly Witchy CHALLENGE - Scrub-a-dub, Magick in the Tub!

Merry Meet to all!

Thank you once again to the charming collectors who joined in for last weekā€™s Weekly Witchy Challenge- Head the Call of Crystals :gem:

After being dazzled by everyoneā€™s beautiful crystals and stone treasures, it is time to switch sparkles for suds and sink into a truly self-indulgent area of magick.

The theme for this weekā€™s challenge is an idea shared by the lovely @Limeberry and isā€¦

:bathtub::sparkles: Relaxing Rituals for Baths and Showers :shower::herb:

Baths and showers offer a quintessential opportunity for self-love and self-care. After a tough day or spell exhaustion, they are a great way to cleanse not only your body but to refresh and recharge your mind and magick as well :two_hearts:

This challenge is all about bringing your magick to the tub to enjoy the many benefits of relaxing shower and bath rituals.

Itā€™s time to treat yo self!

So suds up :soap: and get ready to relax :relaxed: , because itā€™sā€¦ CHALLENGE TIME! :bellhop_bell:

STEP 1 : Adding Magick to Your Bath/Shower :bathtub:

There are so many ways to add a little magick and take your me-time in the tub to a whole new level of relaxation!

No bath? No problem!

While bath rituals are easier to find than shower rituals, know that rituals for bathtubs can be adapted to suit a shower- and vice versa!

For advice, tips, and ideas on how to switch a bath ritual into a shower experience, visit Bath Improvisation :shower:

Be sure to check out the Easy Guide to Spiritual Baths that discusses the benefits, process, and shares some great recipes!

Consider spicing up your bath or shower with these magickal additions:

Adding Herbs :herb:

Whether you sprinkle them in the water or hang them beneath the shower, herbs are a wonderful addition to a luxurious bath. Collect them in the garden, use dried herbs, or use products that include your favorite plant to get the benefits :seedling:

For easy clean-up, hang them beneath your showerhead where they can catch the steam- like this Eucalyptus Shower. :green_heart: You can even toss an herbal tea bag into the water to get the benefits without a mess! :tea:

Soothing herbs with relaxing properties such as those in Self-care: Herbs for Anxiety make lovely additions with magickal enhancements and potential health benefits.

For more medicinal and magickal properties of common herbs, visit the Green Witch Herbal Witchcraft Course.

Flower Magick :hibiscus:

In addition to making you feel like royalty, adding fresh or dried flower petals to your bath or placing them around the shower can help to imbue your time with the many magickal benefits of the blossoms.

This is a challenge. Iā€™ll have to call my doctor and see if I can do this one though, with the infection on my legs I may not be able to do anything herbal in my shower water. Unless you count an herbal soap?

I canā€™t advise you with herbs but crystals count bc theyā€™re great for bath magic! Just make sure that the stone you choose can get wet! There are many toxic crystals. Be careful if you do use any :heartbeat:

Thatā€™s an idea! Thank you darling! I already use a good African peppermint soap so some stone to give me energy would go well with that. Thanks again!

Ooooooooooooo ā€“ try my bath salt recipe!! Itā€™s a beautiful blend for self-love and self-care. I filled with intentions of love, emotional balance, protection, & itā€™s very cleansing.

I created this and added it to my Goddess Glow witchy box on my Etsy store.
People absolutely loved it.

Take some time to relax with your own homemade bath salt recipe filled with the best intentions! Time to relax witch!

I love taking herbal/spiritual showers! I havenā€™t done so in a while. Those 2 surgeries back to back really threw off how I was doing. I spent a lot of time in bed recovering. Iā€™m slowly getting my groove back though. This challenge will be a great way to refresh what Iā€™m doing with my craft. Thank you for this one! Iā€™m definitely going to take advantage of this challenge!

Thanks for that! From what I took away from your lovely video that polished clear quartz should be safe in the water. I have a real pretty point I could use. Thank you!

LOL! Youā€™re biased but I like the idea!

A few people pointed it out, so please know that the suggestions above only touched on a few ways to go about this challenge:

Everyone is absolutely welcome to use crystals, bath salts, magick chants/incantations, and any other type of magick you feel inspired to use!:sparkles:

Herbal soaps are wonderful, @Amethyst! Same with crystals or even just a potent chant or spell with words :+1: You do you (and be safe- take good care of your legs!) :two_hearts:

Great idea and smart advice about crystal safety, @Christina4! :gem:

I love that bath salt, @Silverbear! So beautiful and luxurious :rose::relieved: And thanks for the helpful link about crystal safety!

Youā€™re very welcome, @Susurrus! You led the charge into spiritual showers here in the forums- I think itā€™s one your specialities :sparkles: :shower: Canā€™t wait to see what you decide to do for the challenge!

I think I am going to do something for anxiety and clarity. I will see what I have that I can use in the shower. I will definitely let you know how it goes and what I have decided on for it.

Ooh chanting is a good idea! Thanks for that @BryWisteria. Thatā€™s awesome!

OH FUN!!! Honestly I will be more interested in what others come up with. I am a novice in herbal spells. But I do like aromatherapy.
This should be labeled:
PRACTICAL MAGIC
My granddaughter struggles with bath time so I sent her some bath bombs and her mom said it did the trick.
Those little balls are pricey so I had to figure out how to make my own. I found a blended essential oil with a calming and relaxing reputation and mixed up about 12 bombs hiding a little plastic animal in the center of each. Her mom reports that these work like a charm and bath time is no longer a struggle.

If you are going to try to make your own. I recommend that it is easier to control the moisture of the mix with witch hazel rather than water.
You all are amazing with herbs etc. and I have no doubt you can add your special mixes to produce the results you want.
I find that they are tricky to keep from cracking. Carefully un-molding them before drying is better than letting them dry in the molds.
ENJOY!!

These are SO COOL! Bath bombs are absolutely going on my to-do list. Thanks for sharing!

Is it from a skin tear or something internal? When I was in the Army I had an infection called Cellulitis, it was very painful and didnā€™t stem from any apparent skin tear. They had to treat it with Antibiotics.
A Doctor visit would probably be the best course of action.

Iā€™m under a specialistā€™s care actually for diabetic ulcers. I have one on one leg and two big ones on the other. He just changed my meds to two major antibiotics since the Unna boots arenā€™t helping like usual. One of my pills is bigger than my multi-vitamin and itā€™s a pill for a horse!

But yeah, Iā€™ve had cellulitis too. Itā€™s a pain in the butt to get rid of. Hope yours cleared up quickly!

Sounds like a plan, @Susurrus! Looking forward to hearing how it goes :+1:

You have a talent with words, @Amethyst- feel free to put your skills to the test and write a lovely bath/shower-enchanting spell! :scroll::two_hearts:

Hooray for aromatherapy and bath bombs, @Berta! Using essential oils and smells is a wonderful way to draw on the benefit of plants and herbs :herb: It looks like you had a lot of fun making these- and they came out beautifully  What scents did you decide to use in your bath bombs? I am sure they smell wonderful :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I think once I have some time without my house being full, I will take my herbal/ritual shower. Iā€™m excited to do it.
